Dorothy Spizale Ordeneaux

Dorothy Spizale Ordeneaux, age 93, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Chateau St. James in Lutcher, LA. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Ordeneaux Triche (Ernest) and son Robert Ordeneaux as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ordeneaux,Sr.; son, Allen Ordeneaux, Jr.; a grandson and her parents, John and Victoria Spizale, and a sister Beverly Spizale. Funeral arrangements are private.

Richard Carlton Oxner, Sr. passed away June 15, 2016. A resident of Lutcher, LA and a former resident of New Sarpy, LA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Janco Oxner, his three children; Anna Oxner Maguire (Lee), Richard “Rick” Oxner, and Jeanette Oxner Brignac (Dale). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jessica, Angela, Christina, Brandon, Gabrielle, Olivia, Eric, Jacob, Noah, and Kalib. After 104 wonderful years, on June 4, 2016, God called home his angel, Elia Griffin Ordoyne, to be with him in heaven. As a woman of great strength and extreme compassion, she touched so many lives throughout her many years on this Earth. Her incredible work ethic and love for all those who she came in contact with will be how she is remembered by her family and friends. Elia is the wife of the late Dolian “Noon” Ordoyne, who she reunited with now in heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Laiche Deroche and her husband Andy, daughter-in-law Catherine Leblanc Ordoyne, 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Edward “Jimmy” Ordoyne, daughter Evelyn Ordoyne Michel, son-in-law Frank Laiche Jr., son-in-law Arthur Michel, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation at H.C.

Herbert Harry, Sr. was born on April 18, 1931 in Vacherie, La. to the late Bievenue & Mary Keller Harry. He acknowledged his faith and believed in Jesus as a catholic at an early age. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church parish. He was married to the late Aldonia Simon Harry, and to this union two children were born Martha Harry Steib & the late Herbert Harry, Jr. His last place of employment was at Avondale Shipyard where his job title was a rigger for many years until he retired. Herbert enjoyed sports, especially hardball. His ability and knowledge of baseball almost landed him a position in the professional baseball league, but his mother wouldn’t let him go. Herbert loved to dance with his family and friends and created his own dance called the shavol. Herbert is survived by his daughter Martha Steib (Terrance), son Darryl Favorite, Charlene William (Leo), one brother: Milton Harry Sr., two sisters: Eva Batiste (Davis) & Anita H.

Violet Ordoyne Duhe (known to many as “Purple” or “Mrs. Vee”) passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 9, 2016. She was born in Lutcher, LA and was a lifelong resident of St. James Parish. She was a member of the 3 Ells Club, the Catholic Daughters, the St. James Boat Club, Louisiana Homemakers of St. James Parish, and Sacred Heart Church and volunteered regularly at St. Vincent de Paul and other organizations throughout the parish. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, travelling to the mountains of Tennessee, spending time with her family, finding a good bargain, and cooking her favorite recipes. Her presence will be missed by many but her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren.

Marilyn Ann Klibert Hidalgo was born on July 26, 1951 and passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 5, 2016. She was a native of Reserve, LA and a resident of Gramercy, LA. She is survived by her husband Robert (Bobby) Hidalgo, sons: Blaine (Ingrid) and Brad (Heather) Hidalgo; grandchildren: Alek, Cameron, Allie, and Ory Hidalgo. She is also survived by her Mother Helen Waguespack Klibert; sisters: Diane (John) Pecoul, Kitty (Ronnie) Falgoust, Joanne (Philip) Falterman, and Linda (Tootie) Nowell. She is preceded in death by her father, Adrian Klibert. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina. ROSE LYNN FUNERAL SERVICES, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA was in charge of the arrangements.

Stanley Joseph Lambert, age 49 of Gramercy passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, June 09, 2016. He was born in Lutcher, Louisiana on July 18, 1966. He was married to Charleen Dillman Lambert for almost 25 years. He is preceded in death by his step-dad James "Pop" Seats, and cousin, Michael Louque, Sr., "Big Mike" whom he regarded as his brother. He is survived by his mother Joyce Seats and father Sidney Lambert, Sr. (Doreen), step-children Robin Labranche (Lance), Jeanne Plaisance (Darren), and Patrick Copponex. Stanley is also survived by his loving grandchildren David Doucet Jr. (Felicia), Joseph Doucet (Lindsay), Meagan Pousson (Nicolas), Bethany Plaisance, and Cole Copponex; siblings Terry Lambert, Sidney Paul Lambert Jr., Ricky Lambert, Rose Lucas (Jamie), Dinah Lambert, Isaac Lambert (Jennifer), Mark Lambert, Kevin Lambert (Mandy), Patrick Lambert, and Michael Louque Jr.

Joseph Trist Minvielle

Joseph Trist Minvielle, Jr. (September 29, 1932 - June 10, 2016). JT was called to his final reward on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83. He was born in Convent, Louisiana on September 29, 1932, and a resident of Gramercy for the past 58 years. He grew up and worked on Uncle Sam Plantation, attended St Michael’s Elementary School, and graduated from Romeville High School all in Convent, LA. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Sanchez Furniture & Appliances and retired from Colonial Sugars Refinery in Gramercy, LA after 36 years of service. JT was the paper boy as a child, movie camera operator as a teen, and a fixit-all for all of his friends and family as an adult. Most of all, he was a devoted and loving family man.

Rita P. Zeringue was born on October 26, 1929 and passed away on June 8, 2016 at the age of 86. She was a native of Convent and a resident of Gramercy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; a fine seamstress who sewed all the costumes for Gay-Lynn Dance Studio as well as many other projects. She is survived by her children: Joan Z. Murray, Harry “Sonny” Zeringue, Jr. (Hope), Jill M. Zeringue, and Kerry “K-Boy” Zeringue (Rhonda) as well as a sister, Margie P. Zeller and 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Zeringue, Sr., her son Ronald Joseph Zeringue; her parents Gaston Poche, Sr. and Julie W. Poche; her brothers Gaston “Junior” Poche, Jr., and Roger “Shot” Poche, her son-in-law Tom Murray and her grandson Tyler Murray. Family and friends were invited to attend visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Logan Joseph Louque, 74 years old, passed away peacefully at his home with his children by his side at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was a native of Lutcher, LA and a resident of Paulina, LA. Logan was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retiree of Peavey Grain Co. Elevator. He enjoyed spending time with his family, baking, cutting grass, and watching Nascar racing. Logan is survived by his four (4) children: Dawn L Usea (Hanson), Shannon J. Louque (significant other Heidi Rutland), Chasity L. Berthelot (John Sr.) and Chad E. Louque (Trisha); 9 grandchildren: Ryan, Ethan, Tyler, Sydnie, Hunter, Caden, Cole, Shantell, and John Jr.; 2 great granddaughter: Ainslee-Klaire Usea and Riley B. Davis; 2 brothers: Warren J. Louque and Richard P. Louque; and a special friend Carol B. Ladek. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years Lucy E. Louque; parents Logan G. And Ina R.
