Lewis W. Cambre, III passed away on Thursday May 12, 2016 in Houston, TX at the age of 61. He was born on June 24, 1954 in New Orleans, LA and is a long time resident of Lutcher, LA. Lewis was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 5935, and a retiree of Shell Chemical Plant in Geismar after 37 years of service. Lewis enjoyed spending time at his camp, hunting and fishing.  He was the beloved husband of Carla Kliebert Cambre and father of Michelle and Raelynn Cambre; Grandfather of Leah, Jayden, and Jackson  Cambre; brother of Kathleen Cambre, Marie Cambre-Ursa (Charles), Lyle Cambre (Drema), and Elsie Cambre. Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Cambre, Jr. and Elsie Matherne Cambre. Visitation will be at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. at St.

Willa Mae “Lil Sis” Nora Hymel was born on October 6, 1949 to the late Ezekiel and Nellie Silveran Nora. She departed this life on April 26, 2016 at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care from complications of a heart attack the previous year. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband Curtis

STEPHENS

Virginia Lee Stephens, a former longtime resident of Lutcher, died April 15, 2016 in Fort Myers, Florida, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Stephens in 1998 and a son, Michael Stephens, in 2010. She is survived by a son,  Mark Stephens of Fort Myers, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service and burial will be in Parkersburg, WV, at a date to be  determined. Virginia was born in Parkersburg, was graduated from Parkersburg High School and attended Mountain State Business College. She was the daughter of Carrie Talbott Hyre and  Virgil Vaught Hyre and sister of Josephine Hyre Davis, all deceased. Virginia met her husband in Parkersburg and they married in 1943 at Maxwell Field Army Air Force base in Alabama. After her husband returned from service in Europe he joined the DuPont company.

Esther Mae Schexnayder Oubre, age 77, was born on April 29, 1938 and passed away on April 24, 2016. She is survived by her sons: Douglas, Sr. (Wendy), Wesley (Rachelle), Dwain “Mega” (Cindy), Stephen, Sr. “Nu Nu” (Susan); grandchildren: Doug, Jr. (Shelly), Matthew, Adam (Rachel),  Michael (fiancee´Amber Gros), Megan O. Hymel (Ross), Monica Oubre, Montana Oubre, Stephen, Jr. (Claire), 5 step grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her  sister, Dolores S. Catoire and a brother Nelson “Pie” Schexnayder, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents Yolande and Beatrice Louque Schexnayder; brothers Jim and Carroll “Carrot” Schexnayder and a sister Mary Jane Becnel and ex-husband Pierre Oubre, Jr. Visitation was on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

MORVANT

Johna Jochum Morvant, age 49, of Kodak, TN passed away along with her children Peyton and Parker Rasmussen in a helicopter accident on April 4, 2016 in Pigeon Forge, TN. Johna married Keith (Smitty) Morvant in November of 2015. Johna always found the beauty in nature and her surroundings. She enjoyed the outdoors and always had a soft spot in her heart for animals. Johna and Smitty enjoyed their home and caring for many types of animals that Johna insisted they have. He made her life complete. Johna is survived by her husband Keith (Smitty) Morvant, Mother and Father Lynne and Lynn Frederick, Grandmother Virginia Rector, Sister Jennifer Joshum Cotton, Aunt Leslie (Mark) Johns, Uncle Tom (Bonnie) Rector, Brother Landon, Niece Rylie, Nephew Jace, Cousins Christoher, Samone, John,  Jessie, Mike, Matt and Mollie. She was preceded in death by her Grandfather Edwin M. Rector, Jr., whom was very dear to her.

DUNN

Ray Bernard Dunn, 86, formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas and resident of Gramercy, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2016. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Adair Ellis Dunn, and seven daughters: Linda White- Hunt (Keith), Ursula Howell (Kenny), Dana Territo (David), Kathy Watkins, Sandy Sanders (Randy), Sherry Haydel (Dale), and Stacie Ordoyne (Kirk); and one son, Kerry Dunn (Sheila). He also leaves behind nineteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He proudly served in the Army Air Force from 1946-1949. Retired from Colonial Sugar Refinery in Gramercy. Active member of Sacred Heart Parish, serving as chairperson of the Adoration Ministry and as Eucharistic Minister for the local nursing home. He loved his family and spent his retirement years smoking meats, most of which he donated to the local food shelter.

Effie Brignac Louque passed away on April 14, 2016 while in the loving care of her daughters: Connie Louque Oubre, Tressie Badeaux Montz, and Dawn Badeaux Cauble. Effie was preceded in death by her husbands, Ned Louque and Noland Badeaux, Jr.; her parents, Hubert and Louise Arceneaux Brignac; her sister Anna Mae Bourgeois, and her brothers Willie and Alvin. Effie adored her 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Stanford Joseph Jeffery, a retired welder, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the age of 73. A native and resident of Vacherie, LA. He was the son of the late Webster and Florence Jeffery, Sr. and committed husband of the late Deloris P. Jeffery. He was the beloved father of Stanford Jeffery, Jr. (Shawn), Dwayne and Sheena Jeffery, Dana Brown (Jeffery), Shamika Harvey (Michael), De'Lacey Johnson (Gerald, Jr.); two sisters: Lois Harris (Harvey) and Linda Legeaux (Murphy); two brothers: Webster and Hayward Jeffery (Betty); six grandsons: Kalen and Seth Jeffery, Michael Harvey, Jr., London Harvey, Breenyn Jeffery, Gerald Johnson III; six granddaughters: De'Shiya Jeffery, Chaslyn Brown, Shae Harvey, Delaijah Johnson, Trinity and Shyla Jeffery. Along with his wife and parents, Stanford was also preceded in death by his brother Morris Jeffery, Sr.
