Willa Mae “Lil Sis” Nora Hymel

Willa Mae “Lil Sis” Nora Hymel was born on October 6, 1949 to the late Ezekiel and Nellie Silveran Nora. She departed this life on April 26, 2016 at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care from complications of a heart attack the previous year. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband Curtis Hymel; a sister Annabelle Peterson, Lutcher, LA; Eleven nieces and nephews Althea and Reginald Scott (Lasandra), Convent, LA; David Scott (Deanna), St. James, LA; Marshall Scott III (Glenda), Minister Brian Scott Sr. (Minister Tara) and Lasonia Gayden (Michael), Gonzales, LA; Crystal Leblanc, Brad (Kimberly) and Alden “JJ” Nora, Ponchatoula, LA; Susan Williams (Samuel Jones Jr.), Prairieville, LA; and Shenita Riley (Arnell), Fridley, MN; a devoted friend that was like a daughter Evangeline Taylor and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Ezekiel and Nellie Silveran Nora; two sisters Elvies Nora Scott and Barbara Ann Nora Brocks as well as a niece, Sandra Scott. Funeral Services were held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at New Zion Christian Center, 216 W. Main St., Gramercy, LA, Rev. Emil Dean Mitchell, Pastor, Minister Brian Scott Sr. officiated. Visitation was from 8:00 a.m. until service time. Interment was at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent, La. Entrustment to Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA.
