CAMBRE

Lewis W. Cambre, III passed away on Thursday May 12, 2016 in Houston, TX at the age of 61. He was born on June 24, 1954 in New Orleans, LA and is a long time resident of Lutcher, LA. Lewis was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 5935, and a retiree of Shell Chemical Plant in Geismar after 37 years of service. Lewis enjoyed spending time at his camp, hunting and fishing.  He was the beloved husband of Carla Kliebert Cambre and father of Michelle and Raelynn Cambre; Grandfather of Leah, Jayden, and Jackson  Cambre; brother of Kathleen Cambre, Marie Cambre-Ursa (Charles), Lyle Cambre (Drema), and Elsie Cambre. Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Cambre, Jr. and Elsie Matherne Cambre. Visitation will be at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina.
