Earl Augusta Folse of North Las Vegas, Nevado, died in his home on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in North Las Vegas, Nevada due to complications following a stroke in October of this year. He was 83 years old. Mr.

Aimee Waguespack Becnel, born August 8, 1927 on Laura Plantation in Vacherie, LA died December 16, 2015 in Lake Charles, LA. She is survived by her second husband, Gerard Arthur Becnel; children and their spouses: Charlotte Delatte (Bruce) of Vacherie, LA; Donald Becnel (Karen) of Vacherie, LA; Lisa Boudreaux (Brian) of Sulphur, LA; Yvonne Madere (Ronald) of Mandeville, LA; Louise Becnel (Brad Fontenot) of Sulphur, LA; and 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Charles Adam "Pete" Becnel, Jr. and by her parents, Otis Jean and Anita (Poche) Waguespack. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a Rosary and mass at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1175 Highway 18, Vacherie, LA 70090, on Tuesday, December 22nd. The Rosary began at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass at 11 a.m. A memorial mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur, LA on Friday, January 22nd, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Aline B. Hymel, age 89, passed away on December 18, 2015. She was a Native of Wallace, LA and a resident of Vacherie, LA. She is survived by her sisters: Maisy Cazenave and husband E.V., Anne Hymel, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Borne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stubbs Hymel; parents Elise Tassin Borne and Sidney Borne; a sister, Winnie Aubert and husband Francois; a brother, Clifford Borne and a brother-in-law, George Hymel. Visitation was on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rita Ann Waguespack Deslattes passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the age of 95, joining her loving husband, Andy Deslattes, in Heaven. She is survived by her children Lionel (Lois), Carolyn Babin, Andrew (Sandra), Myrleen Roussel (Nelson), Rosemary Poche, Michael (Selina), Rita Roussel (Chris), Deanna Chabaud (Kevin), and Carl (Bridget); son-in-law Gerald Remondet and daughter-in-law Lori Picou; brothers Hubert and Claude Waguespack. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Expeire and Althea Hymel Waguespack; children Eddie, Richard (infant), Betty Remondet, Leanna (infant), Kenneth, Danny, and Keith; sons-in-law Lynwood Babin and Allen J. Poche; siblings Joseph and Francis Waguespack, Armaize Forsyth, Margaret Brignac, and Martha Deroche. She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family and all who were blessed to know her. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a night wake at H.C.

Glenn Ray Madere, Sr. lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the age of 61 surrounded by his wife and children. He was a beloved and devoted husband of Cindy Nicholas Madere, and father of Glenn Madere, Jr. and wife Sharon Darnell-Madere of Gonzales, LA; Julie Madere Babin and husband Colin Jude Babin of Paulina, LA; brother of Charlean Madere Dooley and husband Clyde Dooley of Gramercy, LA; brother-in-law of Jerry Nicholas, Sr., and wife Joanne of LaPlace, LA and Kenneth Nicholas, Jr. and wife Margie of Pensacola, FL. He leaves behind 3 granddaughters: Emma Faith Madere, Kelsi Marie Babin, and Kylee Ann Babin as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Gerard Madere, Jr. and Marie May Matherne Madere of Gramercy, LA. Glenn worked at Shell Chemical in Norco, LA for more than 35 years as a machinist and then as a senior mechanical inspector before retiring from Shell E and P in New Orleans, LA.
