Garen Paul Deroche passed away on January 2, 2016 at the age of 65. He was a native of Gramercy, LA and a resident of Lutcher, LA. He is survived by his wife Jude Ann Becnel Deroche; daughter, Ashley Deroche and son Ryan Deroche; grandson Mason Duhon, granddaughter Madeline Duhon, sister, Sandra Ellis. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rachel Credeur, Jay Becnel (Jan), Walter Becnel (Gaynel), Robert Becnel (Betty), Joycelyn Bourgeois (Michael), Geraldine Samrow (Joseph), Rita Kay Lear (Bobby), Candy Pollet, and Gayle LeBoeuf (Wayne) and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Eunice Roussel Deroche. He was Commodore of the St. James Boat Club. Family wishes to thank the Carpenter House and all family and friends for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The St. Joseph Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation was on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA. Visitation resumed at the funeral home on Wednesday January 6, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
