Rita Ann Waguespack Deslattes

Rita Ann Waguespack Deslattes passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the age of 95, joining her loving husband, Andy Deslattes, in Heaven. She is survived by her children Lionel (Lois), Carolyn Babin, Andrew (Sandra), Myrleen Roussel (Nelson), Rosemary Poche, Michael (Selina), Rita Roussel (Chris), Deanna Chabaud (Kevin), and Carl (Bridget); son-in-law Gerald Remondet and daughter-in-law Lori Picou; brothers Hubert and Claude Waguespack. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Expeire and Althea Hymel Waguespack; children Eddie, Richard (infant), Betty Remondet, Leanna (infant), Kenneth, Danny, and Keith; sons-in-law Lynwood Babin and Allen J. Poche; siblings Joseph and Francis Waguespack, Armaize Forsyth, Margaret Brignac, and Martha Deroche. She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family and all who were blessed to know her. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a night wake at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher, LA on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation was also held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA at 11 a.m. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
