JEFFERY

Stanford Joseph Jeffery, a retired welder, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the age of 73. A native and resident of Vacherie, LA. He was the son of the late Webster and Florence Jeffery, Sr. and committed husband of the late Deloris P. Jeffery. He was the beloved father of Stanford Jeffery, Jr. (Shawn), Dwayne and Sheena Jeffery, Dana Brown (Jeffery), Shamika Harvey (Michael), De'Lacey Johnson (Gerald, Jr.); two sisters: Lois Harris (Harvey) and Linda Legeaux (Murphy); two brothers: Webster and Hayward Jeffery (Betty); six grandsons: Kalen and Seth Jeffery, Michael Harvey, Jr., London Harvey, Breenyn Jeffery, Gerald Johnson III; six granddaughters: De'Shiya Jeffery, Chaslyn Brown, Shae Harvey, Delaijah Johnson, Trinity and Shyla Jeffery. Along with his wife and parents, Stanford was also preceded in death by his brother Morris Jeffery, Sr. A celebration of life with a mass of Christian burial was held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Highway 644, Vacherie LA, on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Viewing began at 9:00 a.m. Father Joseph Sanjay, Celebrant.
