Pernell “Hank” Ramagos, age 55 was born on August 3, 1962 and passed away on October 3, 2017. He was a native and resident of Gramercy, LA. He is survived by his daughter, Rachael Clement Burns; brother, James “Rocky” Ramagos, and a sister, Rhonda Louque as well as a grandchild, Esabell Burns and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Ramagos and Dolores Hidalgo Ramagos. A memorial service will be held at a later date. ROSELYNN FUNERAL SERVICES is in charge of the arrrangements.

William “Billy” Borne passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cathy Z. Borne; children: Nicole Jouty (Jeremy), Raymond J. Borne, III (Jessica), Chantell Brignac (Andy), and Ray Trosclair; sisters: Gwen Becnel, Peggy Lambert (Neil), Donna Dicharry (Phil), Kay Morvant (David) and Nancy Borne; grandchildren: Taylor Martin, Jude Jouty, Raymond Jack Borne, Cali Borne, Pheeby Guedry, Logan Brignac, Jace Brignac, Tyler LeBlanc, and Destiny Detillier. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond J. Borne, Sr. and Gloria LeBouef Borne, and a brother Raymond J. Borne, Jr. A visitation in his honor was at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave, Lutcher, LA on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation resumed on Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Garyville, LA from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in St.

Mary Roussel Dupepe

Mary Roussel Dupepe, age 95, a native of St. James, LA and a resident of Lutcher, LA, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. Mary was a World War II Army Veteran and a retiree of the Pontchartrain Levee Board. She was a devout Catholic, who lead a fulfilling life caring for the needs of others. She was an avid walker who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as drinking coffee with family and friends, taking care of her cats, and sitting on her swing. She is survived by her five children, Roy, Van and his wife Corinne, Bruce and his wife Monica, Kevin, and Arlene and her husband Michael; her grandchildren, Monique Simoneaux, Sara Smith, Maggie Landry, Brett Dupepe, Bart Dupepe, Clint Dupepe, Michael Nassar, Jr., Mary Nassar, and Lee Nassar; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Alvin Dupepe; grandson, Matthew Dupepe; parents, Arthur and Theolia M.

Eunice Theresa Millet Melancon

Eunice Theresa Millet Melancon, a native and resident of Garyville, she passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at the age of 87. Eunice was a member of St. Hubert’s Catholic Church Choir, Garyville VFW Auxiliary, St. Hubert Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and Garyville Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Terrio (Danny); three sons: Wendell (Nemo) Melancon, Terrell Melancon and Timmy Melancon (Debra); grandchildren: Nathan Crotty (Tanya), Bethany Kincheloe (Justin), Donny Terrio, Ian Melancon, Claire Beard, Haley Melancon, Julie Melancon and Wesley Melancon; two great grandchildren, Duane Crotty and Abigail Kincheloe and two step grandchildren, Deryk Kincheloe, and Haley Madere. She is also survived by one sister, Lavonne Brady (John), one brother, Arthur Millet, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Alice Mae Bourgeois LeBlanc

Alice Mae Bourgeois LeBlanc, a native of Paulina and a long-time resident of Lutcher, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 6:31 a.m., at St. James Parish Hospital. Alice was the loving wife of her late husband, Odom “Toot” LeBlanc. She was a devoted and loving mother to Barry (Caroline) LeBlanc and to Tammi (Brian) Falgoust. Alice is also survived by her grandchildren, who she adored so much, Brandi (Chris) Bourgeois and Kaci (Josh) Crowder. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Kole Bourgeois, Kori Bourgeois, Lawson Crowder, Cierra, Ellie, Holden, and Beckett LaCour, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was born to Eva and L. J. Bourgeois, Sr. on September 10, 1927. Besides her parents, Alice was also preceded in death by her siblings, Margie Pollet and L. J. Bourgeois, Jr. Alice enjoyed watching football games, (especially when she had football pools), her “stories”, and Lifetime movies.

Tom Herrington

A loving husband, devoted father, and friend to many, Tom, 81, died peacefully on September 20, 2017 surrounded by family. Mr. Herrington was born in Rison, Arkansas and was a lifelong resident of North Vacherie, Louisiana since 1972. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Kliebert Herrington; children, Judy (Rowdy) Oubre, Michael (Janine) Herrington, and Sandra Rodrigue; His cherished grandchildren, Payton and Jacie Oubre, Ross (Brittney) Herrington, and Elliot Rodrigue; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Rhett Herrington; brothers, George (Myrtle), Fred (June), John (Anne), Hardy (Tabitha); sisters, Ruth (Max), Donnie, Cescel & Ethel (twins), and Ola (Ronnie). He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoody and Ola Mae Puckett Herrington; family, Bill and Juanita Herrington, Bernice (James) Reed, Lee Herrington (Linda), Steve Mull, Floyd Golden, and Tommie Luker. Due to extensive injuries after 34 years of service, Tom retired from Avondale Shipyard in 1997.

Janel Fremin Borne, age 74, was born October 23, 1942 and passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017. Janel was a long time resident of Gramercy. She is survived by her four children: Brian Borne, Laura Prejean, Don Borne and Becky Louque. She also has grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lucille Baudoin Fremin, and her brother Edward “T-Joe” Fremin. REVEREND TAYLOR

Reverend George Lawrence Taylor, Sr., 81, of Rockdale, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 of Alzheimer’s at St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock, Texas. Reverend George Lawrence Taylor, Sr. was born August 5, 1936 in Vacherie, Louisiana to Lawrence and Mary Taylor. He was educated through the St. James Parish Public School System and continued on to receive a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Theology from the Christian Bible College of Louisiana. Reverend Taylor worked for several grain companies for many years before retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary (Raphael) Taylor; brothers, Warren Taylor and Claude Florence; and sisters, Juanita Joseph Stewart, Mildred Armant, Sentilia Blazio, Bessie Mae Roche, Abby Swing and Delores Statt. Reverend Taylor is survived by a son, George Taylor, Jr.

Terry S. Louque born on May 16, 1933, entered into eternal rest with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. He was 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elaine Pizzuto; and his seven children Delaine (Kent) Becnel, Terrie (Kenneth) Hymel, Suzanne (Jerry) Schexnayder, Adrien (Cindy), Brian (Ginger), Dean (Michele), Charles (Jeannie) Louque. Grandchildren, Mia, Marc (Kristy) Becnel, Jonathon (Michelle) Hymel, Maria (Walter) Lambert, Hope & Tori Hymel, Kimberly (Bradley) Hebert, Neil Schexnayder, D.J. Draughon, Teralyn, Brison, Baylen, Tamryn, Connor & Carter Louque. Great-grandchildren: Taylor, Tatum, Layla, Myla, Colton, Madelyn, Ethan & Grayson. He is also survived by his brother Willie (Lorna) and a host of nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Neila & Steven Louque; sisters Ruby Pollard & Ruth Herbert; and his brothers Johnny & James Louque. Grandchildren Derek & Michael Hymel.
