Mary Roussel Dupepe

Mary Roussel Dupepe, age 95, a native of St. James, LA and a resident of Lutcher, LA, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. Mary was a World War II Army Veteran and a retiree of the Pontchartrain Levee Board. She was a devout Catholic, who lead a fulfilling life caring for the needs of others. She was an avid walker who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as drinking coffee with family and friends, taking care of her cats, and sitting on her swing. She is survived by her five children, Roy, Van and his wife Corinne, Bruce and his wife Monica, Kevin, and Arlene and her husband Michael; her grandchildren, Monique Simoneaux, Sara Smith, Maggie Landry, Brett Dupepe, Bart Dupepe, Clint Dupepe, Michael Nassar, Jr., Mary Nassar, and Lee Nassar; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Alvin Dupepe; grandson, Matthew Dupepe; parents, Arthur and Theolia M. Babin; and birth parents Henry and Inez Matherne Roussel. A Visitation in her honor was held at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on September 29, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA at 12:30 p.m. Burial immediately followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.
