Mary Ann LeBlanc Mire, a native of Sorrento and temporary resident of Gramercy, due to the “Great Flood August 2016” died at 8:32 a.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was 77 and a retired supervisor for Walmart. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Forrest J. Mire; son, Dwayne Mire (Pam); sister, Catherine L. Ordoyne; brother, Edmond LeBlanc (Carol); sister-inlaw, Grace Broussard LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Sonny Mire (Libbey). She is preceded in death by infant son, Keppel Anthony Mire; parents, Thelma and William LeBlanc, Sr.; brother, Melvin LeBlanc; brother and wife, William and Ruby LeBlanc, Jr., sister and husbands, Delores Letulle Aime, Paul Letulle, and Emile Aime; brother and wife, Earl and Jimmie LeBlanc, and brother, T. J. LeBlanc. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Visitation was on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Sorrento, from 8:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Father Keun-Soo Li officiated. Burial was at St.

Robert James “Bobby” Louque, age 82, was born on June 14, 1934 and passed away on May 31, 2017. He was a native of Belmont, LA and a long-time resident of Gramercy, LA. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Simon Louque, daughter, Lori A. Louque, son, James “Jamie” Louque (Tania), and his beloved granddaughter, Hannah Louque. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond “Payas” Louque, sisters: Marguerite “Git” Roussel, Melodia “Mickey” Ory, and Elizabeth “Betty” Scott. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Louque, Sr., and Melodia Roussel Louque as well as his siblings: Whitley “Whit” Louque, Ferdinand “Knox” Louque, Hubert “Carot” Louque, Hilton “Buck” Louque, Alfred “Peck” Louque, Jr., Melvin “Caccoon” Louque, Mary Mae Louque, Louisa “Gal” Troxclair, Eula Mae “Mitsy” Louque, and Joyce L. James “Tim” Timothy “240” McEarl, age 56, was born on September 2, 1960 and passed away on May 24, 2017 at 10:00 p.m. in Lutcher, LA. He is a native of LaFollette, Tennessee and a resident of Gramercy, LA. He enjoyed boating and fishing down the river, especially with his beloved dog, “Dee”. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn McEarl; Mother, Linda Williams (Ric), sons: Cody McEarl (fiance´ Chelsea Sloan), and Jacob McEarl; brothers: Mike McEarl (Jane), Chris McEarl (Charlene) , numerous nieces and nephews, and grandchildren: Aubrie Nardi and Cole McEarl. He is preceded in death by his Father, Allen Dean McEarl. A memorial visitation in his honor will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by religious services at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.

Patrick Joseph Simon

Patrick Joseph Simon, age 62, was born on July 31, 1954 and passed away on May 13, 2017. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Simon Poirrier (Brent), and Joanne Simon Matherne (Terry); as well as nephews: Kerry Hymel, Jr., Danny Hymel, Travis Hymel, and T. J. Matherne, a niece, Heather Matherne Brack, and his Aunt, Marie Simon Hymel. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Leontine Roussel, father Joseph G. Simon, Jr. and grandparents: Joseph Simon, Sr., Elmira Murray Simon, and Effie Vicknair Roussel and Merrill Roussel.He will be missed by his special friends and cousins. Rowena Roussel Laroze

Rowena Roussel Laroze, age 89, passed away on May 8, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Daniel A. Laroze, her children Danielle Stewart (George), Darren Laroze, Tammy Martin (Jerry), and Anita Michel (David), and her grandchildren Matthew and Daniel Stewart, Cody Martin, Traci Martin Hymel, Holly Martin Millet, Adam, Courtney, and Maegan Michel as well as five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Roussel Bourgeois and Janice Roussel Millet. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Hermine Roussel, her son, Baby Laroze, and her siblings, Percy Roussel, Jerry Roussel, Eunice Roussel Deroche, Florisca Roussel, Beverly Roussel Badeaux, and Randolph Roussel. She loved to work puzzles, read, and her daily morning coffee visits with her sisters. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home Activity Fund.

Marie Martin Millet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin,and friend. She was born on May 20, 1935 and passed away on May 6, 2017 at the age of 81. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rene J. “T-White” Millet, Jr.; son, Craig Millet (Cindy); daughters, Renette Catalano (Philip), Cathy Dufresne (Kerry), Anne Detillier (Boyd); her brothers: Milton, Bruce, Willy, and Jacob Martin and her sisters: Florence St. Pierre, and Theresa McCann; as well as 11 grandchildren: Lacey Cavanaugh, Brad Millet, Adam Millet, Kelsi Falgoust, Kalli Dufresne, Kami Dufresne, Nicole Catalano, Benjamin Detillier, Noah Detillier, and Maria Detillier and 5 great-grandchildren: Wesley and Taylor Millet, Lyla and Jordyn Cavanaugh, and Ethan Millet. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Leonia Martin; grandsons: Matthew, Michael, and Alexander Detillier and a brother, Gordon Martin. MINVIELLE

John Trist Minvielle left his earthly life and is peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus, his creator, on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 12:53 a.m. at University Hospital in New Orleans, LA at age 54. John was born on January 2, 1963 in Lutcher, LA.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Gramercy, LA. As a child, John attended Gramercy Elementary School and served as an altar boy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He graduated from Lutcher High School and completed instrumentation program at Ascension Votech in Gonzales, LA. He furthered his education at the Baton Rouge School of Computers. John retired, after 13 years, from the Town of Gramercy as a Class 4 Water Treatment Operator certified in water treatment, production and distribution. Although John was never married, he was very compassionate in his service to others’ needs. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends and strangers.

Etienne Victor “E.V.” Cazenave, Jr. was born on August 15, 1928 and passed away on April 28, 2017. He was a native and resident of Vacherie, LA. He is survived by his wife, Maisy Borne Cazenave; sons: Steven Cazenave (Jennifer), Paul Cazenave (Angela), Charles Cazenave (Lorie) and daughters: Wanda Walcavich (Mike), Deanna Harang (Bryan), and Lori Hue (Clark). He also leaves behind his 14 grandchildren: Beau, Blain, and Brett Cazenave; Andrew and Elizabeth Walcavich; Scott, Jason, and Michael Harang; Sara H. Brown; Jake and Anna Cazenave; and John, Mark, and Luke Hue and 4 g r e a t - g r a n d c h i l d r e n : Samantha, Bryan, and Georgia Brown, and Jack Harang.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Etienne Victor Cazenave, and Marie Elina Hymel Cazenave; one brother, Roland Cazenave, Sr., and four sisters: Juliette Waguespack, Marie Chabaud, Laurence Tregre, and Louise Champagne.

Gloria Roussel Detillier

Gloria Roussel Detillier, age 85, a resident of Gramercy, LA was called to her eternal home on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017. She was a special mother and grandmother, helping in as many ways as she could and retired from First American Bank. She is survived by her son, Kerwick Detillier (Minnie), and daughters, Peggy Vicknair (Carl Lee), and Lynette Beall (Bob). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren: Karey, Sherry, Tara, Lane, Brandy, Brandon, and Jason; and numerous great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Evyn, Mason, Gavin, Austin, Reid, Leia, and Jaxon. She also leaves behind her brother, Richard Roussel (Theresa), and sisters, Arlene Hymel (A.J.), and Joyce Luquette (Darnell). She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Dudley Detillier and her parents, Ferdinand and Anite Roussel. A visitation in her honor was on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Albert Joseph Griffin Sr.

Albert Joseph Griffin Sr., 83, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, in Port Arthur, Texas. Albert was born on August 8, 1933, in Lutcher, Louisiana, to parents Gladys (Cotham) and O’Neil Louis Griffin, Sr. He was one of Jehovah’s Witness and an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in the West Orange Congregation, and the New River Congregation prior. Albert was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he remained in active duty, refueling planes in the field, for 14 years. After receiving his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force, Albert began working as a mechanic for the Sugar Mill, where he retired in 1998. He was a loving husband and partner, to wife Minola (Marquette), for 61 years and a man who dearly loved his family. Albert loved to fish and watch cowboy movies. His grandchildren and greatgrandchildren loved being teased by their “Pawpaw” and Albert was famous for his sense of humor.
