Christine Luminais Benson, age 66, passed away on January 10, 2017. She was a native of Reserve, LA and a resident of Lutcher, LA. She is survived by her parents, Carlton and Leatrice Luminais; children: Chad Guidry, Brett Guidry, and Codi Guidry Naquin as well as her brothers: Toby Luminais, Timmy Luminais, and Steve Luminais. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Shawn, Taylair, Haylee, Brittney, Miley, Cassie, Kayley, L.J., Lexi, Brian and her greatgrandchildren: Khloe, Rylie, Ryder, Kylie, and Hazel. Chance Anthony Frazier

Chance Anthony Frazier departed this life with the hope of a better life on January 12, 2017. Chance was born on June 4, 1998 to the parents of John and Lavonzell B. Frazier. He also leaves to cherish his memories siblings JaRae’ and Dontrell Frazier; grandparents Doris W. Frazier, Prescott and Marion Bailey; and a host of aunts, uncles and relatives. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral services at First Baptist Church, 1244 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Reginald Glispy officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Treasures of Life Center, 315 E Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA 70052 and on January 21, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., 1244 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA. Warren Joseph Lambert, Jr

Warren Joseph Lambert, Jr., a resident of Gramercy, LA went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2017. He passed away peacefully of small cell lung cancer. He was a native of Grand Point, LA. He was the beloved husband of Jeannette Schexnayder Lambert for 34 years. He is survived by his two children: Adam Joseph Lambert and Ashley Marie Lambert. He is also survived by his brothers: Patrick (Sheila), William “Billy” (Belinda) and sister, Michelle Daron (Jeffrey) and sisters-in-law Staci Lambert, and Odette Vicknair; brothers-in-law Otis Schexnayder (Ava) and Charles McCarty (Rosemarie) as well as nieces and nephews and beloved dogs: Chrissy, Jada, Chloe, and Sassy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Warren “Bozo” Lambert, Sr. and Alice Louque Lambert; his brother, Lawrence Lambert, and grandson, Brayden Joseph Lambert. He was employed at Blue Runner Foods, Inc. in Gonzales, LA. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, camping, and Nascar.

Elizabeth “Betty” Vale Waguespack

Elizabeth “Betty” Vale Waguespack, 80, died unexpectedly, yet peacefully, with her sons at her side on January 8, 2017. Born in New Orleans, she grew up in Port Sulphur, LA, and had been a longtime resident of Vacherie and Thibodaux, LA where she resided with her husband of 57 years. More recently, she relocated to Kingwood, TX to be closer to her family. She is survived by her sons, Kevin G. Waguespack (Tamara Carlson Waguespack) of Kingwood, TX, and Dr. Steven G. Waguespack (Shelley Weaver Waguespack) of Pearland, TX; sister Kathleen Vale Thompson of Ocala, FL; and grandchildren, K. Michael, John, Evan, Colin, Nathaniel and Madeleine Waguespack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo R. Vale and Bernice Bengert Vale; son John David Waguespack; sister Judith Vale Bertrand; brother Robert T. Vale; and husband John B. Waguespack. Betty was a very loving wife, mother, sister, and Grammy who was so proud of her family.

Eve Simoneaux Guillot

Eve Simoneaux Guillot, age 95, was born on June 28, 1921 and passed away on January 9, 2017. She was a native of Paincourtville, LA and a resident of Reserve, LA. She is survived by her children: Mitzi G. Duplessis (Gene), Brent Guillot (Sharleen), Clyde Guillot, and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eunice Levron, daughter-in-law, Maureen “Mo” Guillot as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Guillot, her son Chris Guillot, her parents Leonie and Agnes Blanchard Simoneaux and her brothers and sisters. She was a volunteer for the St. Peter thrift store for many years and a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church. A visitation in her honor was on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in the St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Roger Joseph Louque, Sr. passed away on January 3, 2017 with his family by his side at the age of 86. He was born May 14th, 1930 in Grand Point, Louisiana to Irby and Louise Louque, Sr. and a life-long resident of Gramercy, Louisiana. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife Cecile Brignac Louque of 66 years. He is also survived by six children, Roger J. Louque, Jr. (Susan), Gretchen LeBlanc (Terry), Todd Louque (Vickie), Stephen “Lukey” Louque (Kelly), Stephanie Bourgeois (Bobby), and Kristie Frederic (Tim); 16 grandchildren, Jennifer, Travis, Marcie, Erin, Amy, Adam, Alison, Matthew, Jeremy, Marty, Blake, Cory, Ryan, Lauren, Abbey, Emma and 24 greatgrandchildren and one on the way. Survived by his sister Verlin Simon. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Irby Louque, Jr.

Kenneth “Kenny” Joseph Simon, age 75, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Carpenter House in River Ridge, LA. He is survived by his wife, Sybil Klibert Simon; sons: Todd (Mary), Gregg (Jodie), Bruce (Karen) and daughter Stacy Vicknair (Don) as well as a sister, Betty S. Becnel. He will be greatly missed by his 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Simon and Isabella Aucoin Simon. Mildred Lambert Roussel, age 87, a native and resident of Paulina, LA, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Chateau St. James Nursing Home surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of the late Freddie Adam Roussel, Sr. She is survived by her children: Verlin (Chris) Montz, Sherrel (Tommy) Engel, Karen (Johnny) Gautreaux, Peggy (T-Boy) Vicknair, Freddie (Bernadine) Roussel, Jean Paul (Cheryl) Roussel, Debbie Hutchinson, Mickey (Tammy) Roussel, and Harold (Melissa) Roussel. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes Kilburn and Rene Lambert. Visitation was on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA. Lois Hymel Boe, age 80, was born on August 22, 1936 and passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at her residence in Lutcher, LA. She was a native and resident of Lutcher, LA. She is survived by her children: Angela B. Lambert (Wade), Debra B. Martin (Jared “Butsy”), Brian Boe (Denise), and Brent Boe (Ali); brother, A. J. Hymel (Arlene); grandchildren: Heidi Poche (Jason), Brooke Boe, Maci Boe, Carli Lambert, Radyn Boe, Kent Boe; step grandchildren: Celeste Martin, Missy Martin, Jill Donaldson, Paige and Peyton Bourgeois and great-grandchildren, Leia and Jaxon Poche. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustin and Celine Hymel, and granddaughter Angel Lambert. A visitation in her honor was on Monday, August 9, 2017 at the Lutcher Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at 2:00 p.m. followed by a burial at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
