Camilla Cart Louque, age 48, a native of Grande Pointe and a resident of Gonzales, LA was called to her eternal home on Monday, December 5, 2016 peacefully surrounded by her beloved son and family, after a hard battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her son, Burnett Paul; sisters: Marsha, Sherrie, and Merritt, and her brother, Steven.

Fr. Edward Francis Fuss, S.M., died on Wednesday, November 23, at St. James Hospital in Lutcher, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Fuss and Anna Gruszczyk, his brothers Andrew (Celia) Fus, Walter (Ann), Joseph (Irene) and Stanley Fuss, his sisters Stella (John) Spiker, Carrie (Henry) Spejewski, Mary (Theodore) Zugel and Sophie (Clifton) Byers, and his nephews Theodore, Donald and Gregory Zugel and Norbert Fuss.

He is survived by his nephews, Richard (Claudia) and Dennis Fus, Kenneth, Joseph, Robert and James Fuss, Eugene (Norma) and Gerald (Cynthia) Spejewski, Ronald Spiker and John (Andrea) Byers; his nieces Marilyn Stanish, Carol (Jack) Granger, Kathy Dewey, Judith Fuss, Margaret Plummer, Patricia (Lawrence) Moehn and Tina (Thomas) Kish, and his sister- in-law, Charlotte Fuss.

Helen Bergeron Boudreaux passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at her home in Union, LA at the age of 93. She was born in New Orleans on June 15, 1923 to the late Henry Bergeron and Jeanne Letulle Bergeron.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Marie and Johnny Ory, Denise and Kenny Allen, and Mona and Troy Logarbo, her sons and daughter-in-laws, Roy and Catherine Boudreaux, Bryan and Mary Boudreaux, Roger and Cathy Boudreaux, Henry Boudreaux, and Vicky Valero. Helen is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elmore Boudreaux, son E.J. Boudreaux Jr., baby brother Henry Bergeron Jr., granddaughter Jessica Boudreaux Packer, infant grandson Kurt Allen, sister June Ruble Magnitzky, sister Elaine Lane, and half-sister Lucille Chauvin.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Cambre and her son Kenneth Cambre, Jr. as well as her brothers: Clifford Poche, David Poche, and Justin Poche; sisters: Janice Quirk, Molly Magee, and Marie Ballew.

James Joseph Becnel, 77, was born in Vacherie, LA and passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 2, 1939. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He brought joy and love to all who met him. Our lives will be forever touched by his loving spirit and he will be deeply loved and missed. He is survived by his wife Aimee Reulet Becnel of 53 years; father of Rebecca Thibodeaux (Kurt), Janine Herrington (Michael), Todd Becnel (Becky), Jill Clement (Dion); Grandfather of Ross (Brittney), Bethany (Chase), Chelsea, Courtney, Alyssa, Beau and Benjamin; Great Grandfather of Wyatt and Rhett; brother of Leroy Becnel and Anna Bourgeois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amelus Jr. and Leona Stein Becnel and his brother Louis Becnel. Visitation was at Our Lady of Peace in Vacherie, LA on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. till funeral time.

Perry Joseph Roussel, Sr., age 85, was born on February 25, 1931 and passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was a native and resident of Belmont-Hester, LA. He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Callegan Roussel; son, Perry Roussel, Jr. (Gerolyn), daughters: Wanda R. Lobell (Buddy), and Robin R. Duke (Terry); sisters: Audrey Smith, Joyce Louque, and Judy Parrino. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Samuel Kliebert, Ashley Wienhoff, Charles Kliebert, Aleana Roussel, and Lauren Clement as well as his 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Lillian Roussel, a brother, Don Roussel and a sister, Rita Roussel. Perry was a hardworking man all of his life and took pride in his work. He devoted his life to his wife and family. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy and as a consultant for companies in Jamaica, Spain, and Ireland, where he worked. His plant nickname was "popcorn".

Verlin Zimmer Oubre, was born on March 4, 1925 in Lutcher, LA and lived in Gramercy, LA after her marriage. She passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. She is survived by her 3 children, Wayne J. Oubre, Susan O. Schexnayder, and Nolan J. Oubre, Jr. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren: Rexann Roussel, Guy Schexnayder, and Tina O’Bryant as well as her 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and sisters, Myrel Love, and Judy Donaldson. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Nolan J. Oubre, Sr., her parents, Gladys Boutte Zimmer and Robert Zimmer and step-mother, Agnes Zimmer, and brother Eddie Zimmer. She was a graduation of Lutcher High School. Visition was on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum. Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA was in charge of the arrangements.

Michael Joseph “Peabody” Reulet

Michael Joseph “Peabody” Reulet, 58, entered eternal life on November 13, 2016 after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Michael is survived by his mother, Belle Reulet; his sisters, Angele Rodrigue (Vernon), Patricia Gravois (Blaise), Rachel Rome (Lonny), and Margaret Cortez (Scott); and his brothers, David “Bim” and Randy Reulet (Juliette), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd “Bim” Reulet, his brothers Lynn and Kenneth “Stucky” Reulet and sister-in-law Cheryl Marse Reulet. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA at 11:00 a.m. Visitation in his honor was held from 9:00 a.m. to funeral time. Dale “Dee Jay” Gordon an assistant manager at Family Dollars Store # 3750 departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was the son of Deborah Harry and Dale A. Gordon; Brother of Quashana Stewart, Danielle Johnson and Jarrun Hilaire; Uncle of Tyree, Ryleigh, Rhiyan and Romalis Hilaire, Ja’Llya and Ja’Llyr Stewart and Christian Robertson. Also survived by his Guardians Leo Smith and Kevin Johnson; mentor 1st Sgt. William Alsobrook; Godparents Albert Jackson and Sarah Lawson and a host of aunts, uncle, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of life was held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Hwy. 644 Vacherie, LA. Visitation began at 8:30 a.m. Interment was in the church cemetery. Hobson Brown Funeral Home in Garyville was in charge of arrangements.
