James Joseph Becnel

James Joseph Becnel, 77, was born in Vacherie, LA and passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 2, 1939. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He brought joy and love to all who met him. Our lives will be forever touched by his loving spirit and he will be deeply loved and missed. He is survived by his wife Aimee Reulet Becnel of 53 years; father of Rebecca Thibodeaux (Kurt), Janine Herrington (Michael), Todd Becnel (Becky), Jill Clement (Dion); Grandfather of Ross (Brittney), Bethany (Chase), Chelsea, Courtney, Alyssa, Beau and Benjamin; Great Grandfather of Wyatt and Rhett; brother of Leroy Becnel and Anna Bourgeois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amelus Jr. and Leona Stein Becnel and his brother Louis Becnel. Visitation was at Our Lady of Peace in Vacherie, LA on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. till funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
