Brooke Louque Rando, age 37, passed away on February 13, 2018. She is the daughter of Huey Louque, Jr. and the late Lillian Shindle Louque, and the mother of Skylar Louque, and Dominic Rando. A visitation was held at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. followed by a religious service. Linda “Rae” T. Berthelot

Linda “Rae” T. Berthelot, age 70, was born on August 22, 1947 and passed away on February 11, 2018. She was a native and resident of Lutcher, LA. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Berthelot, Jr., her children: Brandon and wife, Abbie Berthelot and Christy and husband Daine LeBlanc; siblings, Keith Trosclair, Jodie Louque, Bernadette “Bunnie” Szubinski and her three grandchildren: Chloe, Colt, and Mason LeBlanc. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Elma Trosclair. She loved and adored her grandchildren and loved all children. She was proud to say she worked for the St. James Parish Assessor’s office early in life before becoming a fulltime Mom. A visitation in her honor will be on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Margaret “Peggy” Thompson Robert

Margaret “Peggy” Thompson Robert, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Paulina passed away at the age of 59 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Ray “Chip” Robert, Jr.; her mother Barbara Terry Thompson, and her children, Sarah Robert and fiancé Darren, and Gary Robert. She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Thompson and her sister Barbara Terry Thompson. She was a Speech-Language Pathologist for many years at the Veteran’s Home in Reserve, LA. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation in her honor was on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation resumed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Martha Faucheux Hymel passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 92. She was a native of Wallace, LA and a resident of LaPlace. She was a former parishioner of St. Philip Catholic Church and member of the Ladies Altar Society. Beloved wife of the late Ivy John Hymel, Sr. Loving mother of Mary E. Hymel (Wayne), Ivy J. Hymel, Jr. (Joan) and Tina H. Sherman (Keith). Grandmother of Logan J. Hymel (Raquel), Jayme H. Alleman (Josh), Julie Hymel, Eric Martinez, and Lauren, Kayla and Joshua Sherman. Daughter of the late Sidney G. Faucheux and Julie Cazenave Faucheux. Sister of Mae F. Waguespack (Nolan) and the late Sidney G. Faucheux (Maggie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1175 Hwy. 18, Vacherie on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation began in church at 9:00 a.m. Interment was in St. Philip Cemetery. Arrangements by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home.

Beloved wife of the late Eddie Madere. Mother of Michael (wife, Cynthia Bordelon) of Garyville, Mark (wife, Suzanne Gueret) of Lutcher, Brent (fiancee, Cindy Abbruzzese) of Manahawkin, NJ and Kent (wife, Elaine Rogers) of Pocono Pines, PA. Daughter of the late Joyce and Mederic Duhe. Sister of the late Therese Bass of Radner, OH and Louis Duhe of Houma, LA. Grandmother of Michael Madere (wife, Melanie) of Kenner, Katherine Bailey (husband, Jeremy) of Denham Springs, Rachelle Madere (companion, André Bourgeois) of Garyville, Rebecca Lewis (husband, Benjamin) of Sorrento, William Madere of Boutte, Angelle Madere (fiancee, Brandon Scott) of Paradis, Dennis Madere of Houma, and Matthew Madere and Christopher Madere of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

DUFRESNE

On April 5, 1955, a prayer was answered. A beautiful little girl was born to Marie Therese Dufresne Dufresne and Amilcar (Noon) Dufresne, now deceased. She was Denise Ann Dufresne. She has gone to meet her heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. To mourn her, she leaves her sisters, Emma Calis, Tina Faulk, and brothers, Ray Dufresne and Ricky Dufresne. She also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. Her deceased grandparents were Denis Dufresne and Myrtle Zeringue; Ulysse Dufresne and Ida Waguespack. She didn’t have too many accomplishments since she wasn’t able to express herself verbally, but to those who knew her, she relayed her thoughts clearly and lovingly. Her family thanks the AMG Specialty Hospital in Houma and also her cousin, Father Vincent Dufresne and her Uncle June Dufresne. A visitation in her honor was on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at House of Prayer Church in Thibodaux for Raymond J. Gravois, Jr., 56, a native of Vacherie and resident of Thibodaux, who lost his battle with cancer on the morning of Saturday, February 3, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. at House of Prayer Church with a mass afterwards at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. Raymond was the beloved husband of Cindy Naquin Gravois of 35 years; father of Tony Gravois and wife, Kacie, Joshua Gravois and wife, Samantha, and Justin Gravois and girlfriend, Ashley LeCompte; grandfather of Emma Gravois who shares his birthday. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Gravois, Sr. and Olga Kliebert Gravois; and a sister, Priscilla Landry.

Surrounded by her loving family at Ochsner Main Campus on Jefferson Hwy., Sara Lee Shuford Glidden, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2018. She was a native of Louisiana, Missouri and a resident of LaPlace, Louisiana for 34 years. Sara was the loving wife to her husband of 53 years, Harry Glidden, Jr.; mother of Brent (Kendra) Glidden and the late Neil (Jennifer) Glidden; devoted grandmother of Ashleigh (Justin) Tumminello, Alexzander (Kaitlyn) Glidden, Austin Glidden, Devin Collins, Victoria Glidden; great grandmother of Teagan Glidden; sister to Betty Dolbeare (Raymond), Frances Koeller (Harry) and L. Donald Shuford (Jean); aunt to several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents John Oliver Shuford and Frances Elzea Shuford; brothers Lloyd Shuford (Jean), John Oliver Shuford, Jr., E. Alexander Shuford (Leora), Kenneth Shuford (Betty) and Harold Shuford (Gisele).

Myrtle "Mother Dear" Weber departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her residence in Vacherie, LA. She was 97, a native of St. James, LA. Visitation was held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, LA 8:00 a.m. to Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was at 9:30 a.m. Officiated by Father Brad Doyle. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Survived by 2 sons, Allen (Beryl) and Wayne Weber; 2 daughters, Cheryl Landry (Louis) and Conchita Weber-Joseph (Donriel); 1 daughter in law, Harriet Weber; 1 sister in law; Geraldine Mayho; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchilden; also a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband; Adam Russell Weber; parents; Octavia and Romalice Mayho; 1 daughter; Maxine Weber; 1 son, Raleigh Weber, Sr.; 1 grandson Rory Weber; 3 greatgrandchildren; 2 sisters, Felonise Scioneaux and Mary Williams; 2 brothers, Matthew and Marshall Mayho.

Marie Ann Lambert, 84, a native of Gramercy, LA and a resident of Houma, LA transitioned into Heaven on January 22, 2018. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Lambert of Houma, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey J. Lambert and Marie Waguespack Lambert and brothers, Earl Lambert, Joe Lambert of Metairie, LA and Aubrey Lambert of Gramercy, LA. Marie’s adult life was dedicated to the service of God through her ministries of education, public relations, and mental health care. She was a Sister of St. Joseph for 40 years known as Sister Catherine Marie; earning master’s degrees in Psychology, English, and Educational Administration and Supervision as well as completing her doctoral studies in Psychology. In New Orleans, LA she taught at St. Anne School, St. Francis Cabrini, and Holy Cross High School. She was a Principal at St. Joseph High School. In Baton Rouge, LA she was a Principal at St. Joseph Academy and St. Thomas More.
