Marie Ann Lambert, 84, a native of Gramercy, LA and a resident of Houma, LA transitioned into Heaven on January 22, 2018. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Lambert of Houma, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey J. Lambert and Marie Waguespack Lambert and brothers, Earl Lambert, Joe Lambert of Metairie, LA and Aubrey Lambert of Gramercy, LA. Marie’s adult life was dedicated to the service of God through her ministries of education, public relations, and mental health care. She was a Sister of St. Joseph for 40 years known as Sister Catherine Marie; earning master’s degrees in Psychology, English, and Educational Administration and Supervision as well as completing her doctoral studies in Psychology. In New Orleans, LA she taught at St. Anne School, St. Francis Cabrini, and Holy Cross High School. She was a Principal at St. Joseph High School. In Baton Rouge, LA she was a Principal at St. Joseph Academy and St. Thomas More. She served as a Public Relations Coordinator at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, LA. She was Director of Publications / Photography at St. Pius High School in Houston, TX. At the expressive Therapies Center, also in Houston, TX, she was an Administrator as well as a Photo/Video/Art Therapist. She led a rich, full, and accomplished life. As a result of her substantial education in various disciplines, the many positions she held, and her uniqueness of person, Marie was able to bring so much goodness into the lives o f many people and into the world in general. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA. A celebration of her life followed in the Sacred Heart Center behind the church at which you were able to share your memories of Marie.
