Martha Faucheux Hymel

Martha Faucheux Hymel passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 92. She was a native of Wallace, LA and a resident of LaPlace. She was a former parishioner of St. Philip Catholic Church and member of the Ladies Altar Society. Beloved wife of the late Ivy John Hymel, Sr. Loving mother of Mary E. Hymel (Wayne), Ivy J. Hymel, Jr. (Joan) and Tina H. Sherman (Keith). Grandmother of Logan J. Hymel (Raquel), Jayme H. Alleman (Josh), Julie Hymel, Eric Martinez, and Lauren, Kayla and Joshua Sherman. Daughter of the late Sidney G. Faucheux and Julie Cazenave Faucheux. Sister of Mae F. Waguespack (Nolan) and the late Sidney G. Faucheux (Maggie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1175 Hwy. 18, Vacherie on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation began in church at 9:00 a.m. Interment was in St. Philip Cemetery.
