Patricia Ann LeBlanc Frye

Patricia Ann LeBlanc Frye passed away peacefully in her home in Semmes, Alabama on March 12, 2018 at the age of 69. She was born April 14, 1948 in Paulina, Louisiana to Olivia Babin and Usley “Type” LeBlanc. In 1969, she married Robert “Joe” Frye and settled in Metairie, La. Pat enjoyed family get togethers, her puppies, camping, vacations to the Smokey Mountains, Mardi Gras and working in her flower beds. She also liked sharing jokes and riddles. She is one of ten children, Kathleen Englwitz, Rodney LeBlanc, Carol “Poochie” LeBlanc, Usley “Tiger” LeBlanc, Wayne LeBlanc, John McLean, Doris Laurent, Ronald McLean and Donald McLean. She has numerous nieces and nephews. A grave side ceremony and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 4, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Paulina.

Royce Joseph Colon

Royce Joseph Colon, 83, passed away March 15, 2018 at home in LaPlace, Louisiana. Royce was born December 29, 1934 in Lutcher, Louisiana to Shirley DeRoche and Russell Colon. He attended Lutcher High School and served in the Air Force from which he was honorably discharged. He met the love of his life, Ann Champagne, while working for Shell Oil Refinery. Royce loved to read, listen to music, garden and had a passion for interior design for which he had the privilege of enjoying as his career during his entire work life. He was able to enjoy living in Colorado and in California before returning home with his wife, to Louisiana. Preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Russell. Survived by his loving wife Ann, his children Nicole (Michael) and Ashley (Rodney), two grandchildren, Whitney and Michael; also survived by his sister, Shiela, brother in law, Noe and his nieces and nephews, Lisa, Andrea, Shelly, Greg and Jill. Services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at St.

E.J. Joseph Rose departed this life at age 76 on March 11, 2018 peacefully at his home. He was born June 5, 1941 and was a native of Chackbay, LA and a resident of Vacherie, LA. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Louise Falgoust Rose; his children, Eddie Rose and wife, Melissa; Ronnie Rose and wife Greta; Janet Hebert and husband, Lance; and Philip P. Rose; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Rose and Eugenie Legendre; and brother, Norvin Rose. Visitation was held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, LA on Saturday, March 17 , 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until a mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Entombment was in the mausoleum in the church cemetery. Donna Schexnayder Zeller, 59, a native and resident of Lutcher, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She is survived by sons, Brent Zeller, Jr. and Blake Zeller; sister, June Accardo and husband Ricky; brother, George Schexnayder and wife Connie; granddaughter, Mary Jane Reid, who she adored; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Schexnayder, Sr. and Dolores Letulle Schexnayder; sister, Jo Ann “Jo Jo” Schexnayder McEarl and brother-inlaw James McEarl. She was a loving, single mother, who owned and operated River Parish Pest Control for 34 years. She loved football and baseball and was a fan of the Saints and LSU. Visitation was on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the church followed by burial in the church cemetery. Roselynn Funeral Services of Lutcher, LA was in charge of arrangements.

Melvin Joseph Petit

Melvin Joseph Petit was born on December 5, 1934 and passed away on March 4, 2018. He was a strong, hardworking, selfless man who volunteered his time to serve many. He was a life-long resident and native of Hester, LA. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Clair and Jarrod Millet, granddaughter, Mallory Millet, whom he adored, and son, Kyle Petit. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Petit Marchese. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran and retiree of Kaiser Aluminum who enjoyed gardening, baseball and cooking with friends. He dedicated much of his time serving the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent DePaul, helping those in need. He is preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Peggy and Rachel Petit. His parents, Michael and Evelyn Louque Petit, sisters, Evelyn Petit Pitts, Dorothy Roussel Petit, and Rose Petit Louviere; brothers, Claude, Harold, Herbert, Dudley, Michael, Ronald and Donald Petit and Gerald Miller.

Judy Melancon Vicknair, a native and resident of Lutcher, was born on July 19, 1938 and passed away at Ormond Nursing Home on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She is survived by her children: Joey “Truck” Vicknair and companion Christine Vicknair; Henry “Hank” Vicknair and wife Jennifer and Laurie Vicknair; brothers, Gerald Melancon, Charlie Melancon, and Linden Melancon, Jr.; grandchildren: Joshua Vicknair, Cherish Vicknair, Brittany Vicknair, Cheyenne Triche, Hartley Walker, Paige Greiner, and Trevor Greiner; and great-grandchildren: Joshua Matthew Vicknair, Jr., Jaxon Vicknair, Tatum Daughdrill, Ethan Greiner, Nathan Walker, and Dale Shadell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry “Token” Vicknair, Jr., parents, Linden Melancon and Mildred Cedotal Melancon, and daughter, Trisha Vicknair. She is a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA, a former member of the 3 Ells and the Catholic Daughters.

Vonnie Mae Keller Poche, age 85, of Paulina, LA gained her wings on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her residence. Born October 17, 1932 in Lake, LA. She leaves behind five children: Pam Hanna of Hattiesburg, MS, Ricky Poche (Vicki) of Paulina, LA, Tammy Sain (Lafayette) of Shreveport, LA, Russ Poche (Stacey) of St. Amant, LA, and Chris Poche (Monica) of Humble, TX; nieces, Patsy White and Linda Millet and numerous nieces and nephews by marriage. She loved and cherished her nine grandchildren: Corey (Dana) and Holly (Shanna) Hanna, Jenna(Joey) Bullion, Rick Poche, Kailie Poche, Cody (Andreaka) Nugent, Miranda Poche, Jordan (Ashley) and Renley Poche. She was blessed with five great grandchildren: Laiken Hanna, Ella Bullion, Cody, Jr., and Alaina Nugent, and Julian Poche. Vonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Poche, Sr., her special angel (grandson) Trevor J. Poche, her sister, Thula Mayers, and her parents, Christophe and Altha Keller.

Kermit Joseph Kraemer, Jr, 69, passed away on February 21, 2018. He was a native of Ponchatoula, former resident of Lutcher and Thibodaux, and presently of Prairieville. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Connie Bourgeois Kraemer and his daughter Erica Aline Kraemer; sister Gail Grob, brother Norvin Kraemer (Brenda); brothers-in-law Emile Bourgeois, Jr. (Suzanne), Richard Bourgeois, Sr. (Tania), Bruce Bourgeois (Sheila), Mark Bourgeois (Collette); sisters-in-law Kathleen Levens and Carolyn Otts. He was preceded in death by his parents Kermit Kraemer, Sr. and Madeline Dugas Kraemer, brothers-in-law Jerry Grob, John Levens, and nephew Bradley Bourgeois. Survived by his aunts Lettie LeBlanc and Betty Jo Dugas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kermit was a graduate of LSU and SLU. Throughout his career he worked as a teacher and Director of Operations for local governments.

Michael Marcel Petit, born July 3, 1958, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 19, 2018. He was a lifelong farmer, hunter, and fisherman. He is survived his companion, Janet Ockman; sisters, Cindy Zimmer (Lane), Connie DeLoach (Paul), Jill Bergeron (Nick); nieces and nephews, Lane Zimmer, Jr., Joey Zimmer, Sarah Vines, Laura Deloach, Danielle Aucoin, and Daniel, Nicholas, Nikki, and Caleb Bergeron.
