Reasa Jean Rodrigue Falgoust

Reasa Jean Rodrigue Falgoust was entrusted to God’s loving care on Monday, January 22, 2018. She was a native and resident of Vacherie, LA. A visitation was held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 7:30 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial was at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Eric Falgoust; two children, son, Shelby Lassere, and daughter, Hailey Lassere and fiance’ Howard Jean Kraemer III; parents, Leslie and Antoinette Rodrigue; sister, Antoinette “Toni” Rodrigue and fiance’ Kevin Olinde; godchildren, Paul Harang, Brandon Rodrigue, and Drue Polkey; niece, Fallon R. Terracina; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Cyril P. Rodrigue. Reasa was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She always put everyone before herself, always trying to assist with others’ burdens even with the weight of her own.

Willie Mae Keller Smith

Willie Mae Keller Smith, 76, a native and resident of Vacherie, LA, passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2018. She was born June 1, 1941 to her late parents, Morris and Catherine Keller. She is survived by her two children: Mark Anthony Keller, Sr. and Mary Katherine Smith-Thomas; seven grandchildren: Kaisha, Sean and Haven Thomas; Markeisha and Mark Anthony Keller, Jr.; Malik Joseph and Kenneth Brown; two great-grandchildren: Chayson Gordon and Kai Thomas; and one godchild: Melan Smith. Also survived by three sisters: Susie St. Juniors of New Orleans, LA; Dorothy Roussel (Wilbert) of Edgard, LA; and Margaret Williams of Vacherie, LA; a brother: Larry J. Keller, Sr. (Gloria) of San Antonio, TX; sister-inlaw Jessie Mae B. Keller, and a host of relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Clarence Byrd, Morris Keller, Jr., Charles Keller, Sr.; sister, Shirley Keller- Daughtry; godson, Keith Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Una Labat Dugas

Una Labat Dugas, age 105, was born on March 1, 1912 and passed away on January 23, 2018. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Convent, LA. She is survived by her son, Joseph H. Dugas, Jr. and his wife, Lucy; 2 grandchildren: Joseph Paul Dugas (Anna) and Mary Villemez (Joshua) and 4 great-grandchildren: Jonah and Julianna Villemez, and Sebastian and Aidan Dugas. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Mae Schexnayder and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Dugas, Sr., her parents: Dasise Labat and Angele Oubre; her brothers: Dasise Jr., Rene, O’Neil, Eddie and her sister, Ann Chauvin. A visitation in her honor was held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 6476 Hwy. 44, Convent, LA on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Marie Marse Abreo

Marie Marse Abreo, our sweet, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left us peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the age of 91. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, John E. Abreo; her son, Dale P. Abreo; her granddaughters, Monique Abreo, Michelle Abreo Gutchess, Adrienne Abreo Fernandez (Don), her grandson, Michael P. Abreo (Staci) and 10 great-grandchildren: Riley, Alexa, Blakeley, Declan, Chloe, Phoebe, Lola, Cruz, Preston, and Lincoln. She is preceded in death by her eldest son, John E. Abreo, Jr. Marie retired from Entergy. She was devoted to her family and community. She always saw the good in others and would generously go to any length to help those in need. A visitation in her honor was held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at a later date.

Lindarae S. LeBouef “Nanny Rae”

Lindarae S. LeBouef “Nanny Rae”, passed away peacefully of cancer surrounded by her family at her home in Garyville on January 20, 2018. She was born on June 12, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Audrey Mae Deslatte Stout and Joseph Cleveland Stout, Jr. She was the widow of the late Michael A. LeBouef. She is survived by her children: Danielle Duhe Tyrrell, wife of Eric Q. Tyrrell; Toby M. Duhe, husband of Angie Lasseigne Duhe, and Step-son, Michael A. LeBouef, Jr., husband of Candice Guidry LeBouef. Adored by her grandchildren: Brea Rae Ellis, Eric C. Tyrrell, Alyson C. Tyrrell, Sarah N.Duhe, Kaitlyn Rae Duhe, Abby L. Duhe, Grace L. Duhe, Tayden Ray Haydel, Michael A. LeBouef III and Carly M. LeBouef. She is also survived by her siblings: Morgan “Jimmy” Stout, Glenda Louque Edler, and Timothy Stout. She is preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Cleveland Stout IV. She will be missed by many of her family and friends.

Clifford Joseph LeBlanc

Clifford Joseph LeBlanc, age 82, was born on December 15, 1935 and passed away on January 10, 2018 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Catherine Lambert LeBlanc; a son John and daughter, Jennifer LeBlanc (Jeff) as well as a granddaughter Ashley Tucker. He is preceded in death by his parents: Clement and Emily Oubre LeBlanc; brothers: Clement, Jr., Virgie (Jug), Harvey, Eugene (Pete), Ferdie, Sr.; sisters: Beatrice, Myrna, Rose, Jeannette and Ethel. He was an avid gardener, retired Lutcher Volunteer firefighter, and retiree from the St. James Parish School Board. He served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Sinclair Service Station in Lutcher. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and the Carpenter House. A visitation in his honor was on Friday, January 12, 2018 at ROSE LYNN FUNERAL SERVICES, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Lynette Cecilia Allen Coleman

Lynette Cecilia Allen Coleman, a native of Gramercy, LA and resident of Phoenix, AZ entered into eternal peace and rest at her residence on Monday, December 18, 2017, at the age of 54. Lynette was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister and aunt who enjoyed gatherings and vacationing with her family and friends. Lynette is survived by her sons, Vincent and Lance Coleman of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Clifton J. Allen of New Orleans, LA; Bruce G. Allen of Hutto, TX; Ashley P. Allen of San Francisco, CA; sisters, Deanna M. Roquemore and Adrianne M. Allen both of Prairieville, LA; Elaine U. Willis of Plano, TX; and Sharon M. Parker of St. Charles, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted family and friends. Lynette is preceded in death by her parents, the late William Allen and Verdial Marmillion Allen. Lynette worked as a Literacy Specialist at Tonalea Elementary School in the Arizona School District.

Melvin Pierre “Coot” Duhe

Melvin Pierre “Coot” Duhe, a native and lifelong resident of Lutcher, entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at age 75. Beloved father, papa, brother, uncle and mentor to many during his life. He graduated from Lutcher High School in 1961, attended and played football at Southeastern University, and served in the U. S. Reserve National Guard. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener, and he loved sports and the outdoors. Melvin is survived by his three children, Kelli D. Pfeifer (Kevin), John D. Duhe (Angelle), and Jeff F. Duhe (Holly), his loyal friend Ms. Brenda K. Louque, and his former spouse Juanita G. Duhe; grandchildren Benjamin J. Pfeifer (Anne), Emily M. Pfeifer, Nicholas J. Duhe, Jordan E. Martinez, Zachary J. Duhe, Jackson P. Duhe, Brennan F. Duhe, Alyssa K. Duhe, and Brody J. Duhe.

Rita Lambert Roussel

Rita Lambert Roussel passed away on January 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and life long resident of Convent for 96 years. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Hudson Joseph Roussel of Hester; Rita is survived by her sons Mervin and his wife Jeanette of Reserve and Leonard and his wife Nancy of Convent; nephew, Walter Lambert, Sr. and his wife Wanda of Lutcher. Rita was the loving grandmother of Preston Stiles (Kim), Shane Roussel (Selina), Renee Roussel LeGleu (Ray), Hudson Roussel, and Jason Roussel (Jennifer). She had 11 great grandkids; Shane Jr., A.J., Alexis, Skyler, Payton, Gavin, Gabe, Sophie, Andrew, Justice, and Noah. She was blessed with 2 great-great-grandchildren, Ava and Elijah. She also had 3 step grandchlldren: Lauren, Hailey, and Cory. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandra Lee Ann Deroche Ellis

Sandra Lee Ann Deroche Ellis (Schexnayder) was born on January 19, 1947 and passed away at her home on December 31, 2017. She is a native and resident of Gramercy, LA. She played numerous sports when she was young. She worked at St. James Bank and the hospital as a chef where she made many friends. She loved to cook and was an excellent chef. She lived in Georgia and Romania for a few years. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Mancuso and son, John D. Schexnayder; her loving grandchildren: Jaci (Jesse) and Kaci Mancuso, Gavin and Koby Schexnayder. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Eunice Roussel Deroche and her brother, Garen Paul Deroche and her husband, Charles Ellis. She is also survived by her loving Aunts whom she drank coffee with every morning: Joyce R. Bourgeois and Janice R. Millet; her sisters-in-law, Adaire Dunn and Jude Deroche; her nephew Ryan and niece Ashley.
