Una Labat Dugas, age 105, was born on March 1, 1912 and passed away on January 23, 2018. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Convent, LA. She is survived by her son, Joseph H. Dugas, Jr. and his wife, Lucy; 2 grandchildren: Joseph Paul Dugas (Anna) and Mary Villemez (Joshua) and 4 great-grandchildren: Jonah and Julianna Villemez, and Sebastian and Aidan Dugas. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Mae Schexnayder and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Dugas, Sr., her parents: Dasise Labat and Angele Oubre; her brothers: Dasise Jr., Rene, O’Neil, Eddie and her sister, Ann Chauvin. A visitation in her honor was held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 6476 Hwy. 44, Convent, LA on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial in St. Michael Mausoleum.
