Lumberjacks Hold Off Wildcats, 16-5

The St. James Wildcat Baseball team dropped a 16-5 decision to the Patterson High Lumberjacks in a non-district contest played last week. Patterson took command early with a 6-1 first inning lead. The lone run scored by the Wildcats came on a Aaron McKinney RBI single.

Lady Bulldogs Suffer 7-3 Loss To Academy Of Our Lady

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Softball team dropped its seventh loss of the season when the Academy of Our Lady Penguins came away with a 7-3 non-district win. The game was scoreless in the first four innings of play. But Lutcher ended the scoring drought in the fifth with two runs when Baylie Bourgeois drew a walk and later Mackenzie Louviere reached on an error.

Lady Cats Out-Slug Port Allen, 12-9

The St. James Lady Wildcat Softball team captured its fifth victory of the season after outslugging the Port Allen Lady Pels by a 12-9 score in a non-district contest. Hitters on both sides were strong at the plate as the teams combined for 27 hits, including four extra base hits.

Wildcats Begin Season With Win

The St. James Wildcat Baseball team began its season on a successful note after shutting out the Donaldsonville Tigers 10-0 in a non-district contest. Pitcher Kobie Fournier of St. James kept the Tiger bats at bay as he recorded six strikeouts, walked two with no earned runs in five innings of work.
