Bulldogs Continue Their Winning Ways

The Lutcher Bulldog Basketball team captured its seventh victory in a row after taking a 83-56 win over the West St. John Rams in a non-district contest. Lutcher led from start to finish and outscored the visiting Rams in every quarter to improve to 15-4 on the year.

Lady Wildcats Fall To Episcopal On Late Basket

The St. James Lady Wildcat Basketball team suffered its eighth defeat of the season when the Episcopal Lady Knights registered a narrow 39-38 victory in a non-district contest. The Lady Knights trailed 38-35 with :39 seconds remaining in the game. Episcopal was able to drain a 3-point goal and later hit a free throw to break the tie in securing a 39-38 win. St. James committed six turnovers down the stretch to aid Episcopal in their comeback.

The Lutcher Bulldog Basketball team went undefeated in the Walker Tournament capturing three straight wins over Ascension Catholic, Belaire and Albany. Against ACHS, the Bulldogs came away with a 89-82 victory.

The All-District 9-3A football team was announced recently and both the state champion Lutcher Bulldogs and state runnerup St. James Wildcat players were named to the elite squad.

Bulldogs Suffer Overtime Loss to Terrebonne

The Lutcher Bulldog Basketball team dropped its third game of the season when the Terrebonne Tigers registered a 90-85 overtime victory in a non-district contest. Both teams were tied at 18-18 at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers moved ahead in the second period outscoring Lutcher 22-20 to take a 40-38 lead at the break.
