Wildcats Capture Pair Of Wins

The St. James Wildcat Baseball team captured a pair of non-district wins over White Castle and Donaldsonville last week. Against White Castle, the Wildcats came away with a narrow 9-8 victory. White Castle jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead, but St. James rallied in the third with three runs as Aaron McKenney delivered a two-run RBI single and Tyler Steib had a RBI single to tie it at 3-3.

Lady Bulldogs Clinch Share Of District Title Despite Loss

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Softball team suffered its first District 10-3A loss of the season when the DeLaSalle Lady Cavaliers came away with a 7-5 victory. The loss dropped Lutcher to 4-1 in league play tied with both DeLaSalle and St. James. All three teams will share the league title.

SCC Golf Tournament To Take Place April 8th

St. Charles Catholic High School’s annual Ray Laiche Memorial Golf tournament will be held Friday, April 8th, at Riverlands Golf and Country Club. The entry fee for the tournament is $100.00 per player, $400.00 per team, or $500 per team, which includes a hole sponsorship. Format for the tournament is a scramble limited to a maximum of 32 players or 100 per team. Put together a team today! The $100 hole sponsorship is great way to advertise your business.

Bulldogs Sweep DeLaSalle In Battle For First Place

The Lutcher Bulldog baseball team captured a pair of league victories over the DeLaSalle Cavaliers to take over first place in the District 10-3A race. The victories improved Lutcher to 4-0 in league play. In the first game, the Bulldogs came away with a 3-2 win.

Volleyball Game For A Special Cause

The St. Joan of Arc Catholic School’s Student Council organized a volleyball game against faculty and staff members to raise money for a mission in Haiti. Students were asked to donate $1 as admission to the game. Over $270 was raised.

Lady Bulldogs Shut Down St. James, 12-0

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Softball team moved into sole possession of first place in the District 10-3A race after coming away with a convincing 12-0 victory over the St. James Lady Wildcats Both teams came into the contest unbeaten in league play. But Lutcher broke the game open with seven runs in the fourth inning as Avarie Louque racked up three RBIs and one hit. She also looked sharp on the mound. St. James managed just one off Louque who allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out five during her five innings of work.

Lady ‘Cats Begin District Play With Win

The St. James Lady Wildcat Softball team began District 10-3A play in grand fashion with a convincing 11-1 victory over St. Katharine Drexel. The Lady 'Cats jumped out to a 5-0 first inning lead when Shelby McManus walked and Jordyn Ledet was hit-by-a-pitch. Kiri Parker hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run and Cassidy Gravois stroked a RBI single.
