Lady ‘Cats Off To 3-1 Start

The St. James Lady Wildcat Softball team participated in the 2016 Brawl on the Bayou Tournament at the Westside Softball Complex in Houma. The Lady Cats finished with a 2-1 mark in tourney play defeating Houma Christian and South Terrebonne, but losing to South Lafourche.

Lady Bulldogs Begin Season With Win

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Softball team began its season last week defeating the Morgan City Lady Tigers by a 3-2 score in a non-district contest. The win over Morgan City was the debut of new coach Cathy Bland who was the 7th & 8th grade mentor at Lutcher for the past 12 years.

Bulldogs Clinch Playoff Berth With Win Over St. James

The Lutcher Bulldog Basketball team clinched a berth into the State Class 3A playoffs after disposing Parish rival St. James 74-58 in the regular season finale for both teams last week. The victory gave Lutcher the season series sweep over the Wildcats and will travel to play for their first playoff opponent.

Lady ‘Cats Suffer Pair Of Jamboree Losses

The St. James Lady Wildcat Softball team began Jamboree play last week on a sour note losing to E.D. White and to Thibodaux. Against E.D. White, the Lady 'Cats dropped a 1-0 decision in an abbreviated three inning contest.

St. James Edges McMain Behind Burham’s 30 Points

The St. James Wildcat Basketball team split a pair of District 10-3A contests, beating McMain and losing to DeLaSalle last week. Against McMain, the Wildcats registered a 68-63 victory. St. James jumped out to a 16-11 first quarter lead and then outscored the Mustangs 15-14 in the second period to make it 31-25 at the break.

Belvin, Davis Help Lift Bulldogs Past McMain, 75-53

The Lutcher Bulldog Basketball team clinched the runnerup spot in the District 10-3A race after coming away with a 75-53 win over the McMain High Mustangs. DeLaSalle captured the league title the same night with a 105-51 victory over St. James giving the Cavaliers a perfect 7-0 mark with one game remaining against the Bulldogs this week.

Lady Cats Clinch District Title With Pair Of Wins

The St. James Lady Wildcat Basketball team captured the District 10-3A championship by claiming a pair of league victories over St. Catherine Drexel and DeLaSalle last week. The wins improved St. James to a perfect 10-0 in District and 17-8 overall. The Lady Cats are ranked 25th in the latest Class 3A power rankings.

Bulldogs Use Second Quarter Outburst To Subdue Wildcats

The Lutcher Bulldog Basketball team captured its 20th victory of the season after defeating Parish rival St. James 75-53 in a District 10-3A contest. The victory marked the first time in head Chase Delrie's six-year tenure at Lutcher that the Bulldogs have reached the 20-win plateau.
