Lady Wildcats Suffer District Loss To Haynes

The St. James Lady Wildcat Volleyball team is still seeking its first District 5-IV win of the season after dropping a 25-21, 25-17, 25-20 loss to Haynes Academy. The loss left St. James 0-5 in league play while Haynes improved to 2-2 in District and 10-9 overall.

Lady ‘Cats Fall To John Curtis In District Play

The St. James Lady Wildcat Volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to John Curtis Christian School and to Riverside Academy in District 5-IV play. Against Riverside, the Lady Wildcats fell by set scores of 15-25, 12-25, 16-25.

Lady Bulldogs Finish 2-2 In Pool Play In Bulldog Classic

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team completed play in the annual Bulldog Classic played last weekend at the LHS gym. Lutcher finished second in Pool play defeating Ascension Christian twice, but losing to Academy of Our Lady twice to finish 2-2. Lutcher advanced to the playoff bracket losing to AOL.

Staying Focused Could Be Key To Win 2016 Battle Of The Banks

Its the high school football game all of St. James Parish has been waiting for and it’s finally here. The St. James Wildcats and the Lutcher Bulldogs will meet on the field this Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Lutcher in a game that has both the east and west banks of the parish up in arms and ready to do battle.

Bulldogs Bounce Back After Loss; Dominate McMain 56-13

The Lutcher Bulldog football team began their quest to claim the District 9-3A title as they beat the McMain Mustangs 56-13 last Friday at Pan American Stadium in New Orleans. McMain, with help from Lutcher committing penalties, kept it close in the first half, but Lutcher emerged in the third quarter to score on five straight possessions to put the game away.

Lady ‘Cats Finish Fourth In Woodlawn Tourney

The St. James Lady Wildcat Volleyball team tuned up for District 5-IV play by finishing with a 2- 3 mark in the Woodlawn tournament played last weekend. St. James knocked off Loranger and McDonogh 35, but suffered losses to McKinley, Woodlawn and C. E. Byrd.

Taylor, Louviere Help Lift Lady Bulldogs To A Pair Of Wins

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team reached the .500 mark to even its record to 8-8 on the season after capturing a pair of non-district wins over Ascension Catholic and Hahnville last week. After a slow start at the beginning of the season, the Lady Bulldogs have won four of their last five matches. Against Ascension Catholic, the Lady Bulldogs registered a 25- 13, 25-11, 25-17 victory.
