Lady ‘Cats End Season With Loss To John Curtis

The St. James Lady Wildcat Volleyball team saw its season come to an end last week when the John Curtis Lady Patriots registered a 25-18, 25-13, 25-19 victory. The victory improves John Curtis to 6-2 in District 5-IV play and a second place finish in the league standings.

Bulldogs Take Care Of Business; Shut Down, Shutout And Slaughter Sci Academy

Last week the Lutcher Bulldogs football team did exactly what they were supposed to do - they beat the Sci Academy Nautilus. Although Lutcher won 57-0, head coach Dwain Jenkins and his team were a little stressed out upon arrival at Joe Brown Park in New Orleans east as unfavorable traffic conditions resulted in the Bulldogs arriving over an hour late.

De La Salle Hands ‘Cats Second District Defeat In As Many Weeks

The St. James Wildcat football team saw its hopes of winning the District 9-3A title slip away after they fell to the De La Salle Cavaliers 48-12 last Friday at Wildcat Stadium. De La Salle, which is ranked No. 1 in the latest Class 3A state poll and has a No. 2 power ranking in Division II, improved to a perfect 8-0 record with the win over the Wildcats.

Wildcats Suffer 2nd District Defeat To DeLaSalle

The St. James Wildcat Football team saw its hopes of winning the District 9-3A title slip away after falling to the DeLaSalle Cavaliers 48-12 played at Wildcat Stadium. DeLaSalle, which is ranked No. 1 in the latest Class 3A state poll and has a No. 2 power ranking in Division II, scored touchdowns on eight of their first nine possessions to secure the win and improve to a perfect 8-0 record.

Lady Bulldogs Struggle As Season Winds Down

Dropping two of its matches last week, the Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team fell into third place in the District 6-III race as the regular season winds down this week. The losses left Lutcher with a 12-19 overall record, but the Lady Bulldogs are ranked 10th in the latest Division III power ratings released by the LHSAA. The ranking reflects the tough schedule that Lutcher has played this season against ranked teams.

Lady Bulldogs Suffer Pair Of Losses

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team split suffered a pair of matches last week to Comeaux and to District 6-III rival St. Michael's. Against St. Michael's, the Lady 'Dogs fell by set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 26- 28, 25-14.
