By Pam Folse

Aryton Stein leaves Lutcher High School with his name in the record books for his outstanding soccer career. Perhaps more important however, is the impression he has made on his coach and fellow team mates.

While a freshman Aryton, the son of Sandy and Gidget Stein, played both baseball and soccer. He scored three goals his first high school season. Then he joined a club or travel team and learned the game from foreign coaches who really knew the sport. After that first year of training, he decided to make soccer his exclusive sport.
