The Lutcher Lady Bulldog softball team began District 6-4A play on a sour note when the Parkview Baptist Lady Eagles registered a 17-5 victory.
The Lady 'Dogs led 2- 1 at the end of the second inning when Shaelee Schexnayder led off the frame with a base hit and Destiny Coleman hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Schexnayder to 2nd base. Kami Dufresne then delivered a RBI single and Kristen Poche followed with a RBI single to right field.
Parkview would answer in the top of the third with runs to give the Lady Eagles a 4-2 edge, but Lutcher managed a run in the bottom of the inning when Mackenzie Louviere and Brenn Ursin each had base hits. Destiny Coleman delivered a RBI single to cut the deficit to 4-3.
