St. James Parish Community Leaves Ever Lasting Impression Special Visitors

Article Image Alt Text

By Pam Folse &
Billy and Leslie
Worthington

The people of St. James Parish, to say the least, did a fantastic job of welcoming special guests Bill and Leslie Worthington last Wednesday.

The Worthington’s came here as a result of a rather ingenious Christmas present that Bill gave Leslie that involved ping pong balls representing the states, a list of the towns and cities in the state of Louisiana and a computer application that chose numbers at random. To make a long story short, of all the places in the United States, the Atlanta couple ended up in Hester, Louisiana.

After it was decided where they would go, Bill contacted News Examiner- Enterprise editor David Reynaud because he wanted to run a classified ad in the newspaper. Since he sometimes calls his wife Lester, he thought it would be fun to run an ad that said, “I love you from Lester to Hester.”
