Council Discusses Drainage Concerns Throughout Parish

At the peak of the hurricane season, members of the St. James Parish Council were concerned last week about drainage in various locations throughout the parish.

Director of Operations Blaise Gravois said property owners were going to his office to sign papers allowing the department to cut grass and dig ditches to properly drain their land. The Parish must now have permission from all landowners in order for Parish workers to do any improvements to their property.
