Railroad Company Installs Culvert To Aid In Draining Belle Rue Subdivision

It has taken several years, but drainage improvements in the Belle Rue Subdivision in Lutcher is on the way as a new 48-inch pipe was installed by the Canadian National (CN) Railway company earlier this week. On Monday afternoon, the 63.5 foot, 48 inch, 3/4 inch thick solid steel pipe that weighed 24,053.8 pounds was carefully threaded under the railroad tracks by CN workers.
