Poché Picks Up 38th Career Victory To Tie Most Wins Record

LSU senior pitcher Jared Poché got his chance and took advantage of the opportunity to tie Scott Schultz’s all-time wins record (38 wins from 1992-95) as LSU rallied to defeat Florida State 5-4 in their opening game at the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Poché entered the game in relief of starter Alex Lange in the seventh inning and freshman Zack Hess of LSU preserved the win in the ninth inning getting the final out with the tying run on second base.
