Gramercy Mayor Briefs Aldermen On Noranda Air Permit Modification

Gramercy officials discussed how a local industrial company asking a state agency to renew its air operating permit will affect the Town and its residents. The request also includes a modification to increase its dust and mercurial emissions.
Noranda Alumina requested a Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Part 70 Air Operating Permit Renewal/ Modification for the potential emissions of mercury to the atmosphere.
