The Flower Shop Ladies

Two days after Christmas the flower shop ladies were hoping to complete a few funeral arrangements, tidy up the shop and take the rest of the day and the next off. Just as Liz Lassere and Ouida Faucheux were explaining how unpredictable their business is, there was a quick crescendo of activity. A caller ordered a casket bouquet to be delivered to Edgard the next day. Another caller wanted plants delivered to the same funeral. The part-time help went to deliver a large plant arrangement ordered late for a funeral that was about to begin. The doorbell rang to summon someone to the front lobby to tend to a woman who was there to order a casket bouquet for another funeral. At the same time, the wholesaler parked his refrigerated truck out the back door and was ready to fill an order for fresh flowers.
