Virgin Forsyth Deroche

Virgin Forsyth Deroche was born on August 30, 1931 and passed away on October 25, 2016 in her home built by her beloved husband, Curtis J. Deroche. They were married for 63 years before he was called home to the Lord. She is the Mother of Gary Deroche (Barbara), Kirk Deroche (Marian), Kay D. Dornier (Stephen), and Gay D. Becnel (Tyler). She is also survived by one sister, Noemi St. Pierre, and 13 grandchildren: Crissy Deroche Perrone (husband Joe), Clif Deroche (wife Jenny), Cara Deroche Adams (husband Joshua), Chris Coupel (wife Laurie), Troy Coupel (wife Diana), Jeremy Dornier, Nicholas Dornier, Zachary Dornier, Kristen Dornier, Kira Deroche, Kirk Deroche, Jr., Raven Becnel, and Candace Becnel, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Amber Rougee (husband Colin), Peyton Roussel, Emma Roussel, Owen Deroche, Maddox Deroche, Brittany Coupel, and Travis Coupel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brooks Forsyth, Sr., and Louise Brignac Forsyth; her brothers: Brooks Forsyth, Jr., Norman Forsyth, Russel Forsyth, and her sisters, Myrtis Sherman and Ethel Kraus. She served as a Eucharist Minister for Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked with the RCIA and school of religion programs. She was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, SOAR, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A visitation in her honor was on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial was in the church mausoleum.
