Nelson “Pye” Yolande Schexnayder, Sr., 81, a native and resident of Grand Point, LA, passed away August, 15, 2016 at 6:53 a.m. He is survived by his children and their spouses: JoAnn and Bobby Boudreaux, Nelson Schexnayder, Jr., Wanda and Otis Taylor, Mark and Becky Schexnayder, Lisa and Perry Duhe as well as numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren; and sister, Dolores Catoire. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Waguespack Schexnayder; son, Darren Paul Schexnayder; parents, Yolande and Beatrice Schexnayder; siblings, James Schexnayder, Esta Mae Oubre, Carroll Schexnayder Sr., and Mary Jane Becnel; great grandchildren, Colby Boudreaux; and step grandson, Glenn Taylor. Pallbearers: Bobby Darren Boudreaux, Dylan Boudreaux, Kade Boudreaux, Bobby Walter Boudreaux, Jess Daze, Perry Duhe, Sr., Perry Duhe, Jr., and Craig Brignac, Blaize Catoire. Visitation was on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA from 10:00 a.m. till funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA was in charge of the arrangements.
