Former Lutcher Star Named Softball Coach At East Ascension

Former Lutcher High and LSU-Eunice player Katie Ocmond has been hired as the head softball coach at East Ascension High School in Gonzales. The 25 year old Ocmond played catcher and helped Lutcher to a Class 3A state title in 2009. She then moved on to LSU-Eunice, where she helped the Tigers win a junior college national title.
