Lionel Washington Teams Up With Local Church To Hold First Youth Football Explosion

Retired NFL football-coach and player Lionel Washington was in the middle of talking to reporters about his camp when a young boy asked the Lutcher native to throw passes to him. “I’ll do that,” Washington said with a smile and rushed off. Washington hopped right in, loosened up his arm and tossed passes to an ostensibly endless line of kids.
