Lady ‘Cats Stopped Short Of Reaching State Tourney

The St. James Lady Wildcat Softball team saw its record setting season come to an abrupt halt when the No. 8 seeded Pine Prairie Lady Panthers came away with a 12-2 victory in the State Class 3A Regional playoff. The loss ends the season for St. James while the Lady Panthers advance to the quarterfinal round at the AllState Sugar Bowl Fast Pitch 56 Tournament slated for this weekend. The Lady 'Cats, who had their best seed entering the playoffs at No. 9, could not get the timely hits.
