Charles J. Boe

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Charles J. Boe, age 80, was born on August 5, 1935 and passed away on February 2, 2016. He was a native of Garyville, LA and a resident of Lutcher, LA. He is survived by his wife, Lois Hymel Boe; sons Brent Boe (Ali), Brian Boe (Denise); daughters Angela Lambert (Wade), and Debra Martin (Jared “Butsy”); brother Floyd Boe and favorite caregiver Utica McGee. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Heidi Poche (Jason), Brooke Boe, Maci Boe, Carli Lambert, Radyn Boe, Kent Boe and step grandchildren Celeste Martin, Missy Martin, and Jill Donaldson (Derin); as well as great-grandchildren Leia Poche, Jaxon Poche, Jacob Donaldson, and Kennedy Donaldson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Boe and Antoinette Leroux and grandchildren, Angel Lambert, Grace Hanson, and Ella Donaldson. Charles was a Navy Veteran, a retiree of Kaiser/LaRoche, involved with the Lutcher Quarterback Club as a cook, life-long member of the Lutcher Volunteer Fire Department, and an usher at St. Joseph Church and the  Lutcher Chapel. Visitation was on Friday, February 5, 2015 at the Lutcher Chapel from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
