Ernest “Bud” Joseph Lambert, Jr. died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve, LA at the age of 91. Born in College Point, Convent, LA, son of the late Ernest A. Lambert, Sr. and Myrtie Kliebert Lambert, Ernest was preceded in death by his wife Myrtis Z. Lambert; his second wife Annabelle Faucheux Lambert; and his sisters, Ruth Mae Lambert, Evelyn Deroche (Allen), and Iris McClung (Lewis). He is survived by his brother, Lloyd Lambert (Mary); his sister, Grace Louque (Lincoln); his three children, Wayne Lambert (Karen), Sharon Louque (Chris), and Regaina Forsythe (Emery); 11 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren, and 1great-great grandchild. During his time here on earth, Ernest served in the United States Navy during World War II, presided as a captain of the Gramercy Fire Department, and was a lifelong member and officer of the St. James Boat Club. He served for many years as a Eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy. However, he will be best remembered by his children and grandchildren as a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. A visitation in his honor was held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and interment in the church cemetery.
