Sterling James Appeals Court Ruling Declaring Ash Street A Public Road

Sterling James, Sr. is appealing the decision of 23rd Judicial District Judge Jason Verdigets, who ruled March 9, 2018 that all of Ash Street is a public road, extending from Hwy. 643, beyond the pavement and onto the gravel portion by virtue of a tacit dedication, thereby allowing the public to use the road.

James was also denied a motion for a new trial on March 22nd and Charles R. Jones, attorney for the James family, filed the appeal on May 8, 2018.
