Three Arrested In Connection with Christmas Eve Fight

St. James Parish Sheriff Willy Martin, Jr. is asking for the public’s help in sorting out what actually transpired surrounding a fight that took place on the Mississippi River levee during the annual burning of the bonfires on Christmas Eve.

It has been widely reported by television news and other news outlets that last Friday, a fight that resulted in a 17-year old black male being severely beaten, and his cousin, a 15-old juvenile, suffering a sprained knee, broke out on the levee in the Town of Gramercy.

Sheriff Martin is asking anyone who witnessed the fight, took video of the fight, or took photos of the fight to please come forward and provide police with a statement, a video or a photo(s).
