Richard J. Zeringue, age 86 was born on May 1, 1931, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He was a native of Paulina, Louisiana and a life long resident of Gramercy, Louisiana. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Charmaine Cazentre Zeringue and his children: Gary, Greg (Missy), Laura (Kevin) Lambert, Lydia (Chad) Louque, Lynne (David) Bourg. His grandchildren: Jennifer, Leslie, Shelly, Jessie, Kylie, Ashley, Brandon, Ryan, Riley and 10 Great Grandchildren. A brother, Francis J. Zeringue and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felicien P. Zeringue and Elmire Roussel Zeringue and a sister, Marjorie Z. Murphree. Richard was a graduate of Lutcher High School. He served his country in the Korean War as a Corporal in the Army. He was employed by Shell Oil Refinery of Norco for 37 years. He loved spending time with his wife and family. He was an awesome handy man and was often found fixing things for family and friends. A visitation in his honor was on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
