The Lutcher Lady Bulldog basketball team will have a new head coach this season as Taylor Crappell replaces Fallon Buckner for the 2017-18 campaign.

Crappell was previously the head coach at Morgan City High School and she guided the Lady Tigers to the state playoffs in two of the three seasons at the helm.

Crappell played college basketball at Arkansas-Monticello for four years and then was a graduate assistant coach at Northwestern St. from 2012-14 before going to Morgan City.

Crappell inherits a team that finished with a 11-17 record last year and will have 14 players dot the roster, which includes two seniors in guards Asia Wallis and Chyna Ambrose.
