Helen Theresa Rock Ricard,

Helen Theresa Rock Ricard, a retired nurse, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the age of 90. She was a native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of Vacherie. Preceded in death by her husband, Emile J. Ricard, Jr., parents, Edith & Raymond Rock, Sr., brother Raymond Rock, Jr. and daughter Cheyrl Floyd. Helen leaves to mourn her memory 4 children, Lori Carnovale of Vacherie, Shaun Saizan (Darrel) of New Orleans, Mark Ricard (Aw) of Herndon, Virginia and Avis Sherman (Leo) of Porter, Texas. Beloved grandmother of Kristin Green, Kayla and Kristopher Floyd, Alexandra and Lauren Saizan, Cameron Sherman, Taiwah Ricard and great grandchildren, Alexis and Joseph Green. Helen is also survived by 3 sisters, Edith Reaves, Doris Olsen and Audrey Kennedy as well as a host of devoted nieces, nephews and caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, September 9, 2017 at St. Phillip Catholic Church, 1175 Hwy. 18, Vacherie at 11:00 a.m. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
