LAROZE

Gerald J. Laroze, age 90, was born on April 26, 1927 and passed away at his home on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bertha Bourgeois Laroze; sons: Paul Laroze (Rhonda), Tommy Laroze (Susan); daughters: Kathy Gueret (Gene), Wanda Gravois (Patrick), and son-in-law Michael Jagneaux as well as a brother, Daniel Laroze and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cyrille Laroze and Philomene Tassin Laroze; a daughter, Donna Jagneaux; sisters: Marie Louise Schexnayder, Laurence Schexnayder, and Therese Laroze. Gerald retired from Colonial Sugars after 41 years of service as a machinist. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, and celebrating the holidays with all of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. A visitation in his honor was on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
