Eugene H. Roussel

Eugene H. Roussel, a native of Hester, LA and a resident of Norco, LA (and for the past 12 years in Hester, LA). He is survived by his wife, Anne Webre Roussel; his children: Stephanie Roussel Davis, Kevin Mark Roussel, Stuart Michael Roussel (Karen), and Laurie Roussel Townsend (Joseph); grandchildren: Krystal Davis Raphael (Raymond), Jennifer Davis LeBouef (Kirk), Dennis Lawrence Roussel, Stephanie Wagner, Ainsley Lynn Townsend, Logan Michael Roussel, and Avry Joseph Townsend.; great-grandchildren: Connor LeBouef, Addison LeBouef, Aria Raphael, and sister-in-law “Jackie” Jacob Roussel. He is preceded in death by his sons: Eugene H. Roussel, Jr. and Douglas P. Roussel; his parents, John S. and Annette Haydel Roussel; his siblings: Beaulah Roussel Faucheux, John S. Roussel, Jr., Daniel Keller Roussel, Joseph Pete Roussel, and Jessie Joseph Roussel. Eugene was a graduate of Lutcher High School. He served his country as a marine in the Korean War. He retired from Shell Oil Co. in Norco after 30 years of service. His true love was farming which he maintained his entire life. A visitation in his honor will be on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, LA from 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
