The St. James Lady Wildcat Basketball team will have a new head coach next season in Damon Robinson. Robinson replaces Curtis Lawrence, who was not retained after spending the last three years as coach.

Robinson was previously the head coach at Terrebonne last year and had stints at Thibodaux. Robinson spent 10 years at Thibodaux finishing with a 186-98 overall record and two district titles. He led the Lady Tigers to the playoffs in eight of his 10 seasons before resigning in 2016.

Robinson spent one season at Terrebonne leading a young squad to a 5-19 mark. Robinson indicated that he didn't plan to leave Terrebonne after one season, but couldn't pass up a chance to take the job at St. James.
