Marshall Foster, Sr., a native and resident of Lutcher passed away at Chateau St. James Nursing Home in Lutcher, at 7:15 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017. He was 76. Survived by his wife, Betty Long Foster. Daughters: Showlatha "Wendy" Foster and Daphne (Alton) Placide. Sons: Marshall (Deondra) Foster, Jr., Daryl (Francis) Foster and Sheddrian Melancon. Brother: Preston (Josephine) Foster. Sisters: Lisa Foster and Shirley Smith. Sistersin- law: Barbara Humphrey, Gale (Rev.Alton) Preston and Joanne Guillory, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Josh Foster and Odessa Anderson Foster. Two brothers: Willie Parquette and Cleveland Paquette, Sr. His mother and father-in-law: Rosemary Marcel and Gilliard and Georgiana Long. A sister-in-law: Rain Perry and a nephew, Cleveland Parquette, Jr. Visiting was at King Solomon Baptist Church, Lutcher, on Saturday, February 18, from 11:30 a.m., until religious services at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Benjamin Scott, Pastor, Bishop Clarence Williams, Sr. of St. Joe Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Paulina.
